Jays Giants Deal
« on: January 31, 2013, 02:06:21 AM »
Toronto sends
MI Tulowitzki, Troy, $15.8m (2015)
OF Span, Denard, $3.3m  (2015)
SP Friedrich, Christian, $0.3m  (P-2015)
TOR pays 5.8m in 2013

San Fran sends

MI Uggla, Dan, $12.4m (2015); 2.4m paid in 2014
SP Beachy, Brandon, $0.4m (P-2014)
OF Cruz, Nelson, $11m (2014); 8m paid in 2013

Jays do this to add more depth overall throughout the lineup.
Hoping Beachy makes in back by the allstar break but who knows.
Adding Cruz and Uggla helps with the loss of losing a top MI.

Giants to confirm.

Thanks Kangol for working with me so long on this.

Pauly when you check this the cap works as Cruz has money paid on him for next year hence why Tulo got money paid.

I did this to land my boy Tulo, I like Span and have high hopes with Fried...I also save $2.2 or $2.1m I can't remember when the dust settles which is never a bad thing, this also lowers my cap a bit for next year where I was sitting ugly at $9m and change.

Thanks again big guy, :)

I'm assuming the $ from TOR is on Tulo.  Please post confirming that, as money must be designated to follow a contract.

I approve of the deal regardless of who's contract(s) gets money paid.
