Is Columbus the best fit for him? I feel like everyone hates playing in Columbus as well, just like the Island. I feel like he would want to play in California for some reason and therefore maybe the Ducks would be a good fit for him.

I don't see him moving... In fact, I see Snow trying to use this as a way to teach the kid a tough lesson - you don't come up to the NHL when you want to, you come up when we want you to. This should be a humbling experience for the winger, and hopefully it makes him a better player.

Some players just need more time to develop than others. I remember Joe Thornton just got 7 points in his rookie season and I thought he was going to be a bust as a 1st overall draft pick but he put it together. Nino has got the size and skill tp play in the NHL. He also has put up some great numbers in Jr. I think he will develop into a fine NHLer with time no matter where he goes.

  • Baseballnut83: im sure the braves were looking to move melvin but couldnt because of his huge contract. no one willing to pay that much. especially when you can pay rickie weeks and corey hart less and get similar results.

  • Baseballnut83: again just my opinion
  • cjbeckel: The only predictions of the Mendoza Line Seattle Mariners that matter are mine and I predict with his brother gone (and a name change ) Melvin will continue to have statistically great Aug and Septembers, surpass his 2012 production
    Today at 06:24:31 PM
  • cjbeckel: We cant view it but his 2012 was "double 469"...so that would be a great value at $0/m due to him by me in 2015
    Today at 06:25:59 PM
  • cjbeckel: I will pay him $44m for 3 years of service
    Today at 06:26:40 PM
  • cjbeckel: and we play the ML playoff in Sept when he turns it on
    Today at 06:27:51 PM
