RCF Trade Block
« on: January 18, 2013, 11:52:33 AM »
I am going to start our trade discussions.  I have F Fernando Torres :CHE: sitting on my bench who could be a valuable asset to any other team with his offensive capabilities and 4.23 FPG.  I am looking for a midfielder or d-man.

Could you explain in more detail how trades will work?

1) Is it possible to just give a player away?
2) Is it possible to give a player away in exchange for bidding money, so-called FAAB?
3) If you trade players, does it change your available FAAB?
4) Are you allowed to end up with a team that originally cost more than $350?
5) How do we report agreed transactions?

5) How do we report agreed transactions?

1) You must trade for another player or players.
2) No trading of FAAB... that is solely used for the remaining players on the board.
3) No, FAAB has no ties to the rest of the season.  It is used merely for the players bid on the board.
4) Yes, we won't track FAAB through the season.  It is used merely for the players bid on the board and ends there.
5) Post all trades in transaction board... we don't have any formal TC setup, but Tyler or I can process the move given it is reasonably fair.

Thanks, that's more or less what I imagined, but needed to be sure

Re 5: in case you want to set up a simple TC, I could join you two. I've been addicted to the EPL for years, and 3 people is a practical number (2 = majority).

Back to the subject:
I have a stud midfielder Gaston Ramirez on the bench, will trade for one or two elite defenders (Evra and Glen Johnson come to mind). He rejected Liverpool and Tottenham last summer only to join a smaller side Southampton, where 90 minutes each week and the alpha male role were guaranteed. As expected, he took the EPL by storm this autumn playing behind or parallel to Ricky Lambert at 4.66 FPG. Plenty of goals and assists to come.

We could have the three of us as a TC and if any of us are in a trade then we need to get 1-2 other opinions from the league.
