ATL/CHC (Kubel, Dominguez, Cosart, Francoeur)
« on: January 07, 2013, 12:36:24 PM »
Heading to Chicago
RP - Mitchell Boggs $2M (4th year of PC)
OF - Jason Kubel $8M (2013)
3B - Matt Dominguez $400k (1st year of PC)
P - Rob Rasmussen

Heading to Atlanta
P - Jarred Cosart
OF - Jeff Francoeur $5.3M (2013)

:CHC: does this trade for 2 reasons. MLB depth with Boggs and Dominguez an to get rid of Francoeur who I would have traded for a bag of balls!  Getting Kubel fills my open LF spot. Cosart is a great young arm but expendable with Bradley, Thornburg, and Peralta all coming aboard via trade earlier in the week. Cosart's spot in the farm will be taken by Rasmussen. Here is to hoping Dominguez produces at the MLB level.

Thanks to Atlanta for the trade. :ATL: to confirm deal.

not saying these deal is worthy of a veto, just wondering why all the additional pieces would be needed to acquire Cosart and Frenchy for Kubel. Seems like Kubal should more then suffice

I think I'm going to wait to hear from Sneeby before I vote.  I don't dig the deal though.

I'm in. I shed contract dough, fill in the hole in right with basically a wash on Kubel who I think just saw his best year, and I get a legit pitcher who could be contributing right away next year. I don't believe in Dominguez's offence and I think Rasmussen is expendable.

Fair enough.  If you're in, I'm in.
