OKC/NY Trade
« on: January 03, 2013, 12:34:33 AM »
OKC trades:

Tyler Zeller 1.05M (2013/2014)**/**/***(1.05M paid by :WAS-NBA: in 2013/2014)
Tiago Splitter 3.9M (2012/2013)
2014 OKC 1ST

NY trades:

Kawhi Leonard 1.8M (2012/2013)**/**/***
Tyrus Thomas 1.99M (2012/2013)**

I accept. I do this trade to get a good cheap young guy who I like in Leonard. I had no plan to tag Splitter after this year so he was expendable. Zeller was tough but with my depth at PF and C they were both expendable.

After Trading Hibbert I as lokng to get some Big bodies. Like Zeller alot. Splitter is solid. Like Leonard quit a bit, howevr after trading for Deng and alreay owning George, he was expendable. I think I have made my team much more competitive after trhe last 2 deals. Plus still very Cap friendly!!

I vote to VETO. Khawi is being sold too cheap here in my opinion. Splitter expiring contract, not worth a franchise tag, so its basically Khawi Leonard whom is >>>>>> Zeller for each other....not balanced enough...Khawi Leonard at 1.8 Million with a couple team options(no brainers)...c'mon guys , needs to be reworked. Hope I'm not the only one that feels this way

    • -BA-: I wouldn't
    • Alex87878: people have done it to me, im not going to shy away from doing it to them
      Today at 12:32:54 PM
    • janesvilleaces: i like the peoplee that do it to others than cry when it happens to them
      Today at 12:32:56 PM
    • Ace: i would brad
    • Anelson: If I did it just to raise the bids, then yes, that's wrong, but I'm not going to lose free agency because someone else screwed me
      Today at 12:33:07 PM
    • scottnva: if it is a money bid when u want too
      Today at 12:33:16 PM
    • Alex87878: Like i said, there are rules to prevent it, but not in BTL
      Today at 12:33:23 PM
    • andyscott23: I just don't... Its a persoanl rule for me.. I don;t have problem with people doing it even if it is to me.. its part of the game.. I just don't
      Today at 12:33:25 PM
    • janesvilleaces: i have been called worse than a douchbeg
      Today at 12:33:32 PM
    • Ace: i've never raised late just for sake of it, if someone throws a hissy so be it, as long as you're not a serial offender you'll be fine
      Today at 12:34:10 PM
    • Anelson: If I ever ran a league, I would change the free agency bidding rules. All's fair in the first thrity six hours hours, each hour after that the bid must be increased by 10% min.
    • Scalious: Hardy was easy value. I was temped to bid myself. But with so many players you have to make choices
      Today at 12:34:54 PM
    • Anelson: so by 41 hours, the bid increase is 50% and after 46 hours it's double
      Today at 12:35:09 PM
    • utmbrad: i might be overthinking this a bit just because  of who I am, but I can see myself holding off on bidding for 24-30 hours on a player because I know it ties up that GM's cap space
      Today at 12:35:15 PM
    • Ace: in btn where everything is on one page it's easy to keep track of regardless of how busy i am, fa like btl is just a mess
      Today at 12:35:50 PM
    • Alex87878: Yah im not raising bids to just annoy people, Im only going for the players that my team needs. and since I have currently not won a single player in BTL (besides specs), then I apologize for constantly having to put new bids
      Today at 12:35:54 PM
    • utmbrad: not sure if anyone else looks at it this way
      Today at 12:36:24 PM
    • Ace: that's poor form brad
    • Ace: people will realise and do same to you
      Today at 12:37:01 PM
    • utmbrad: i agree and I dont do it though it is very tempting
      Today at 12:37:16 PM
    • utmbrad: but i dont what goes through other peoples minds either
      Today at 12:38:14 PM
    • Alex87878: I kinda have been doing what andy said, have to look at last two pages in BTL because it is just such a ridiculously long list
      Today at 12:38:25 PM
    • Ace: i think the conclusion is that 5 pages of free agents just pisses everyone off
      Today at 12:38:35 PM
    • utmbrad: which is why I made the statement
      Today at 12:38:42 PM
    • Scalious: Yeah..in this kinda chaos.. Late bidding is going happen. Because everyone has most the cap tied to bids. So they can't bid on everyone they like right away
      Today at 12:38:43 PM
    • Ace: yep, same for me alex, try to leave 12 hours usually but i'm just so busy at the moment, i'll just avoid last hour unless i'm putting a big raise in
      Today at 12:39:42 PM
    • Alex87878: yah scal, I had about 10m in cap space last night,.... got up this morning and suddenly had 55m
      Today at 12:40:19 PM
    • Ace: reason you can't have mandatory raises is that sometimes there may only be a handful of SS or something and you get overbid on one and need to find another; all that's needed is ettiquette
      Today at 12:40:51 PM
    • Alex87878: Again I do apologize though for last second bidding, not intentionally trying to piss anyone off.
    • Alex87878: theres about 3 SS on the market right now and I NEED one of them
      Today at 12:41:37 PM
    • Anelson: I avoid free agency as much as possible
      Today at 12:41:56 PM
    • andyscott23: I took over BTL team so I am working with very little... and trying to figure out the BTL FA market is impossible
      Today at 12:42:49 PM
    • Scalious: I prefer MLs controlled FA... IMO
      Today at 12:43:38 PM
    • andyscott23: Think BTN worked better than BTL, people had less cap to work with so it isnt so crazy
      Today at 12:44:37 PM
    • Alex87878: ive never been in this sort of free agency before, hence my constant scrambling to figure things out. usually  certain positions are open or there is a bid limit.
    • utmbrad: it surprised me andy. figured it would have been a little more hectic
      Today at 12:45:21 PM
    • Ace: how does it work scalious?
    • Scalious: ML opens certain posistions at a time
      Today at 12:47:01 PM
    • Scalious: 1st CI was open only, then RP was opend the next week.. Then OF openned this week
      Today at 12:47:31 PM
    • andyscott23: I like that also scal
    • TimWatsonSC: is anyone else not receiving email notifications for PMs
      Today at 12:48:31 PM
    • TimWatsonSC: ?
    • cho34: Eric you around?
    • andyscott23: BTL.. I'm just lost.. have no idea where to focus
      Today at 12:50:24 PM
    • Ace: my idea is each gm nominates let's say 2 players per week, they open at let's say sun @ 8pm and 48 hour rule applies up until end of bidding which is 8pm following sunday, raises in last hour must be 10%
      Today at 12:50:42 PM
    • Alex87878: now im terrified to bid on good value options because I dont want to cause any rifts with anyone
      Today at 12:54:21 PM
    • Alex87878: andy^
    • Scalious: If you bid late. Just make an aggresive bid.. I think only upping Hardy by 500K makes it look iffy to some
      Today at 12:55:33 PM
    • janesvilleaces: i hate the 48 hour rule in genera..that is why you have 5 pages of FA
      Today at 12:56:35 PM
    • Alex87878: I agree maybe that was too low, but in fairness I was part of the Hardy bidding from the beginning, he just got lost in the shuffle
