BAL/PIT (Schoop, Crick)
« on: December 31, 2012, 11:07:12 AM »
Orioles send

P - Kyle Crick
3B - Francisco Martinez

to the Pirates in exchange for

3B - Jonathan Schoop

I'm a homer, but not a dumb one. I only target the best from the Orioles to call my own and Schoop fits the bill. I think he will be either my starting 3rd baseman or second baseman for many years to come. Trading away one of my best pitching prospects wasn't easy, and i think the Pirates have something special in Crick to go along with Bundy. What a one/two bunch for the future of your franchise.

From the Pirates perspective I know I am giving away the highest rated prospect in the trade, but I am getting 2 very good prospects. A stud pitcher, and a potential 3B / OF with good pop.

    • Ace: and whilst still p can be released for free
      Today at 12:46:37 AM

    • Eric: New hockey league about to open doors :)
    • Ace: so i'll use ARB in spread; but Gonzales can be on a profsl ML roster with a p/na until he surpasses rookie limits? then part 2 would be btl, people mentioning p/na that surpassed rookie limits after aug 1st, should they now be p-arb (or p-2017 as we seem to be using i that league)
    • Corey: part 1 right. part 2 once fa slows down we will update the rodters
      Today at 01:15:49 AM
    • Ace: kk, random but i'd kinda like 5 more minors spots in btl; though i spose rebuilders can bump some to majors, kinda sucks for idiots like me though who don't have a set plan (just trying to have a good farm and no terrible mlb contracts)
    • Eric: New hockey league is here! [link]
