Louisville joins ACC
« on: November 28, 2012, 12:26:51 PM »
Cincy and UConn were considered but ultimately Louisville was picked as the replacement for Maryland to keep the ACC at 14.  They are by far the best football team in the Big Least's BCS era and are a very good basketball school.

This is huge for Louisville, they instantly become the best basketball team in the ACC, and maybe football too..the bigger win is that this should keep Charley Strong from leaving town!

Best basketball team in the ACC?  I would consider UNC and Duke better than Louisville (which compares well to Syracuse IMO).

Pretty sure Louisville is currently ranked higher(#2) and has been to 2 final 4's in the last ten years including last year.

How many final fours has UNC and Duke each had in the last ten years?

Loserville is nowhere near best in ACC, in basketball......that conference will always start on tobacco road and go from there.  This does give them 5-6 teams that are going to be top 15 this year.  Nothing against Indiana, but Duke is the real 1 from what I've seen.
