agree.
Taking aim at competing in 2013, Guerreri and Mejias-Brean do little to nothing to contributing. Tampa is notoriously slow bringing up young pitching, meaning Guerreri could be more like 3 or 4 years from real contributions.
In return for dealing two very talented specs, I get a near ready SP/RP in Torres who, if he can limit his BB/9 could be a very successful pitcher. Having a strong K/9 and GB%, I am hopeful his stature does not keep him from staying a starter. Also acquired, is a closer looking for a home. Even as setup man, Soriano would have value due to high Ks total. And the kicker is the possibility that Soriano ends 2012 as a Draft Pick Compensation worthy RP. The $6m towards his remaining contract makes the price tag on Soriano stomachable.
