  • Brent: I don't mind the silent auction system that BTN used, the only caveot I would want to see is that if you signficantly outbid a 2nd high bidder then you get the player for a predetermined amount higher than the 2nd bid, but not stuck with the really high bid.  Sure you are willing to pay X amount since you bid it, but if  you only have to play y+$1M then that still has you at high bidder with the ability to continue to use your $.
  • Brent: A small rule like that would've made BTN much better than it currently is.

  • Orange Country: aight time to knock out some deals
    Today at 12:01:07 PM
  • Scalious: ..but that defets the whole point..
  • silogical: A new NBA league will be using a hybrid silent/open auction system. In the silent bid everyone who is wihtin 10% of the high bidder enters an open auction. That is the best system IMO.
  • Scalious: of silent auction.
  • Scalious: Its a rule that needs to be in place because you call are soo used to open auction. You can't handle recalibrating player valueation
    Today at 12:02:45 PM
  • Kube20: OC mets in 108 Astros in mb2 cards in SD Mia in blb looking to deal
    Today at 12:03:13 PM
  • silogical: Seems too nubish for my liking. These GMs way over bidding should just figure out what to bid.
  • Scalious: a rule like that will incduce over-bidding if you know only need to beat the player by x amount to 2nd highest bid insted of paying what you bid
    Today at 12:04:17 PM
  • silogical: So the teams that actually figure out what to bid lose their player by 1m
    Today at 12:06:02 PM
  • silogical: good teams will have to hope 2 teams over bid so atleast they use up their money. In that scenario nothing changes from not having the rule
    Today at 12:06:42 PM
  • Corey: Silo, we could try your idea for 3 in the key
    Today at 12:08:16 PM
  • Brent: I sure the BooYah! am not a noobie, but that was my first time doing a silent auction adn it sucked ass.
  • silogical: that would be cool, its aces idea.
  • Corey: I loved it. It was the best start to a league we have ever done
    Today at 12:10:08 PM
