I might put Oates ahead of Sundin because he was a winner. Sundin was a very good player but never proved to be a winner, even though he never won a cup, he did lead many teams in the playoffs to the finals.

I liked Sundin a lot, but yeah he wasn't very clutch and played under the 'ole Microscope in TOR.

No Bure would be 2nd for me. Lots of skill but there is more to the rankings than that.

After Gilmour left, Sundin never got to play with any other star calibre forward.  Mogilny was good for a few years but most of Mats seasons were with Renberg, Berezin, Steve Thomas, Modin, Tucker....you get my point.
To put up a point a game for his career is unreal. Management is to blame for them not making a cup. Not Sundin.

For me it goes Sakic, Mats, Oates, Bure for careers.
As for skill. Bure, Sakic, Oates, Sundin.

  • andyscott23: Will be 17,856 tomorrow.. All down hill from there.

  • Corey: he can stay there until called up. but his clock still starts
    Today at 12:44:09 AM
  • redbeard82: andybody in need of C or RP in 108?
  • Ace: ok, so in btn does marco gonzalez remain p/na until he surpasses rookie limits, then becomes p-17
    Today at 12:46:01 AM
  • Ace: and whilst still p can be released for free
    Today at 12:46:37 AM
  • Ace: then essentially team has $2m, $4m, $6m options (how do we show this in spread?)
  • andyscott23: time to call it a night..
  • Corey: Oncehe starts the clock in btn. contract gets changed too the new amounts.
  • wvwolfeyes: night Andy
  • Corey: For all 6yrs
  • Corey: At any point they are free drops.
  • Corey: Example look at 108 league and go to my Rangers
    Today at 12:58:25 AM
  • Ace: i see ;-
  • Eric: New hockey league about to open doors :)
  • Ace: so i'll use ARB in spread; but Gonzales can be on a profsl ML roster with a p/na until he surpasses rookie limits? then part 2 would be btl, people mentioning p/na that surpassed rookie limits after aug 1st, should they now be p-arb (or p-2017 as we seem to be using i that league)
  • Corey: part 1 right. part 2 once fa slows down we will update the rodters
    Today at 01:15:49 AM
  • Ace: kk, random but i'd kinda like 5 more minors spots in btl; though i spose rebuilders can bump some to majors, kinda sucks for idiots like me though who don't have a set plan (just trying to have a good farm and no terrible mlb contracts)
