I'll pick VERONA QUINTANILLA Carlos.

And I believe this draft is a wrap.

Thinking about the 2014 draft already:

One interesting question for brainstorming purposes is whether we should be able to draft riders who have already been under contract in our game.

If so, taking it further: should be able to draft riders who have already been drafted the season before, but are still eligible age-wise.

Per your second suggestion; that would mean that a rider could be a neo-pro (in the game) for 3 years which i don't think is feasible.

That's why i suggested the option of 1 or 2 years for each pick regardless of round. Some years the class will be stronger than others, certain teams are in need of young promising riders more than others and good drafting is rewarding as you get to keep your savvy second round selection.

You mentioned being like the NBA draft, but cycling isn't at all like the NBA and neither are the contracts.

With regards to riders who have already been under contract i would say that they should be eligible as long as they have not received more than a 30k contract. In essence after being undrafted they have ridden as stagiares in the game.

I think Coquard has been better than Berhane, but maybe not in races that we partake in. Also Jungels has done pretty well in ITT's but again mainly outside of races we select teams for. But Dennis and Aru would be the top 2 (as expected though) with Dombrowski the biggest disappointment

  • snugerud: The idea i came up with to combat the snipe bids is on say day 4 end randomly end the bid.  so that guys cant camp it.

  • indiansnation: Thats good then

  • snugerud: My league runs completely through fantrax.  Currently we use the forums to do a smilar bid style to here.  We were considering moving to a blind bidding system because my league is full of competitive Aholes that bid you up in the last 10 mins of a bid
    Today at 02:51:20 PM
  • snugerud: nice part of moving to that, is absolutely no admin work on my part. team wins the bid, the player and contract terms automatically add to the team.

  • snugerud: I am effeciently lazy, the more I can automate the better.

  • hockeygoon33: Absolutely. I mean VGK tickets were more expensive then I thought they were going to be but can't skip out on Hockey!! Tickets started at $135 and thats the last row in the building.
  • hockeygoon33: Thanks gfor opening day against the yotes.
  • hockeygoon33: my bad thats
  • Jonathan: lol 135 gets me center ice club level. They bring the beer to me.
  • indiansnation: Columbus gets me front row and food pass for the game
    Today at 07:10:14 PM
  • hockeygoon33: See that sounds like its worth the $135!
  • Jonathan: Nobody would show up at those prices.
  • Jonathan: glass seats are still pricey, 250-300 easily for center row.
  • Jonathan: Prices go up with success of team though. nose bleeds are dirt cheap, about $30 right now.
  • Jonathan: It wasn't even 135 for them when we were in the finals.
  • hockeygoon33: For the opening day they $445 for center ice 15 rows up which of course doesnt include fees yet! Gotta love it. It's going to be interesting
    Today at 07:27:43 PM
  • Jonathan: You can get tickets for LV game right now around $50, don't know where your looking.
  • Jonathan: nevermind, they aren't playing that game at home.
  • Jonathan: Yotes arena LOL
  • Jonathan: It will be interesting to see how well they do at those prices.
  • Jonathan: That Raiders stadium is going to be crazy. I cant imagine those prices either.
  • hockeygoon33: $50 sounds like a steal! Yeah VGK uses axs for ticket sales but either way we bought a ticket plan. Too many friends flaked out on season tix.
  • hockeygoon33: For the raiders, each seat comes with a $4k fee no joke. Granted its a time fee.
  • hockeygoon33: [link]
  • Jonathan: most expensive stadium ever built. It'll take 3 years to build.
  • hockeygoon33: if you build it, they will come!
  • Jonathan: at the expense of the tax payers. lol
    Today at 07:43:19 PM
  • dazfoster: Remember going to a Giants game in 2011, when in NY and sitting next to the season holder bought ticket from nfl ticketmaster exchange, when they moved to the Metlife Stadium he had to pay $5k per seat on section 100 behind goalline, the sidelines were from $8-10k
    Today at 07:48:54 PM
  • indiansnation: Thats crazy
  • indiansnation: Crap i can buy u all season tickets for single a baseball for entire season and that includes food to and still would cost a tenth of that
    Today at 08:04:38 PM
  • dazfoster: The $5k was to get same seat allocations in the new stadium, his season ticket was about $1.3k per year per seat. In the sideline seats came with free food and drinks, but the goalline seats didn't.
  • dazfoster: The demand for tickets allowed them to charge this, as holders can easily sell tickets to foriegn visitors of New York wanting to see an NFL game
