How did you find out about Armchair Fantasy Baseball?
I am an avid fantasy player and have played across many different sports and platforms; last year I joined an armchair hockey league very similar to the looks of this one and have absolutely loved it.  Baseball is my favorite sport so I think this could be even better than the hockey league and would love to be apart of it.

Are you interested in only a specific organization? If so, which one?
I'd love to take the Cardinals if available but I am fine with any team.

Please read the league constitution. Do you have any questions? No, very familiar with leagues like this.

How did you find out about Armchair Fantasy Baseball? Heard of it through a Facebook post. Interested in getting something more serious than ESPN. Always wanted to manage a deeper fantasy team, minor leagues and all.

Are you interested in only a specific organization? If so, which one?
Yes, interested in taking over SF.

Please read the league constitution. Do you have any questions?  Read through it. Don't have any glaring questions, may have questions as I go along and get familiar with the league however.

How did you find out about Armchair Fantasy Baseball? Heard of it through a Facebook post. I want something that’s more realistic than the basic fantasy league. I love fantasy and can spend hours every day on this.

Are you interested in only a specific organization? No, not at all. I just want the chance to this with you guys.

Please read the league constitution. Do you have any questions?  Read through. No, not at this minute. I find this fun and a real challenge.

How did you find out about Armchair Fantasy Baseball? I've had two (very) brief stints at profsl interrupted by circumstance, and have been aware of and interested in participating in the community since ~2012. Armchair has always looked great, and I like the linear weights based scoring settings currently in place particularly.

Are you interested in only a specific organization? If so, which one? I'm interested in any team that becomes available. active owners in dynasty contract league is worth whatever the depth of rebuild

Please read the league constitution. Do you have any questions? I'm a little confused by the 'point assignments' below the main section of values in the scoring rules. I can see how the offense extra categories supplement the offense scoring in the first part, and I think I understand that the fielding values are just a standard points addition across the board, but why are saves and holds double-counted? apologies if i'm misunderstanding. Also, I'm assuming the tanking penalty point level is extremely low relative to averages (wouldn't want to take over a team poor enough to unwittingly back itself into sabotaging its own rebuild!).

Here are open teams:

:COL: Rockies (65m in current cap, and good talent to build around such as Whit Merrifield and Eloy Jimenez)

:KC: Royals (No cap this year, projected cap of 50m come off season and currently one of the stronger teams with loads of depth)

:MIA-MLB: Marlins  (63m current cap and more in future, but team needs a lot of work if you up for challenge)

:OAK: A's (Loads of cap with 106m projected, and some good cheap talent such as Jeff McNeil under cheap team control till 2024)

:PIT:  Pirates (Projected cap of 90m, and team has some nice bats with Corey Seager, Rafael Devers, Starling Marte)

:SD: Padres (56m projected cap, David Dahl leads a group of underrated bats, and there is Gerrit Cole to build staff around)

:WAS: Nationals (Projected Full cap space of 143m, as somehow entire team is ARB eligible with Ozzie Albies and German Marquez highlighting this group of cost controlled talent)

  • Daddy: Apparently the MLB has put forth the idea of reducing the number of minor-league teams by more than a quarter (42 teams would be cut in the reported proposal). Additionally, MLB's proposal would reduce the draft to 20 rounds, reduce the number of contracted players in each organization, and alter the structure -- with some affiliates moving up or down in level.
