Since the draft is still on, what is the protocol here for bidding on players who are still considered 'prospects' (ie. 1-40 NHL games played)?

If a bid is opened on a player in FA, that should mean he's no longer eligible to be drafted, correct?

You can only draft guys who were eligible for the 2013 NHL draft, according to what I read in the rules section.

...Or anyone with zero games of NHL playing time I assume to be tacked on to that statement?

So even if a guy as 1 game of NHL experience he's good to go as a FA, but no good for the rookie draft?

Entry Draft will only have players who are eligible for the real life NHL Entry Draft.

That is all I found. I will let the commish chime in.

Oh. Didn't really read that part, was more looking for the FA eligibility where all I found is that you can't get FA's for players with 0 games.

Not to stir the pot on the draft but a couple players were picked that weren't in this past 2013 entry draft. Good research on the GM's that picked em though!

I'm just looking for answers on the FA since apparently it starts tomorrow (where did that come from?!)

2013 Rebel  Entry draft starts July 2nd, 2012 @ 8:00pm

the first 2 round will be on a 24 hours clock and the last 2 round will be on a 12 hours clock.

with the 1st pick going to :FLO: Eric .

- post your pick here . it will be unlock on July 2nd, 2013

- After you select please PM the next Team in the draft order.

- Once we start the clock if you do not select within 24 hrs, the highest player available on the NHL draft list will be awarded to you and you will be on auto-pick for the rest of the draft unless you pm me to confirm you are back.

- If you decide to pick a player not in the 2013 nhl draft you must :
1- make sure the player as 0 game played in the NHL .
2- make sure the player is not on the Rebel NHL minor roster LIST
IF you pick a  ineligible player you will lose your pick ( no re-pick )

Good luck to all

I thoughts the rule stated there are no 1 yr two-way contracts yet a few have been processed and another is in the queue.

So are 1 yr two-way deal allowed in this league?

2 years min. is for player you drafted or prospect you got via trade.

this is the rule for free angecy :

Two-way Free Agent Contracts
A free agent skater can be signed to a 2 way contract if the have played 1-39 games or a free agent goalie can be signed to a 2 way contract if they have played 1-29 games.
The cost of their contract will follow regular free agent bidding with their contract being the winning contract plus an additional 500k as a two way contract fee. These players can also still be signed as normal but their contract will be a 1 way contract.
Players with 0 games of NHL experience can not be signed as free agents.

Is there a rule which prevent us to submit a bid on a player put on waiver and  back to FA?

  • indiansnation: Plus their isnt enough stadiums to hold all mlb rookie players
    Today at 07:20:23 PM
  • indiansnation: So mlb has to watch how far they go it could hurt them really bad.
  • ldsjayhawk: If they are not contracted with Milb, how fast will those towns defect to whatever MLB Pres together?  The first 60 become the new minor leagues and the rest are out in the cold
    Today at 07:27:04 PM
  • indiansnation: Vik pm
  • ldsjayhawk: I agree though.  Manfred thinks it's pace of play that hurts the game, it's the fact that you can't go to the ball park and watch your favorite player, because he just signed with NY or LA.  eventually that is going to translate into tv $
    Today at 07:29:41 PM
  • indiansnation: Actually i believe all the minors are affected from 3a down. If milb are united that can be trouble for mlb.
  • ldsjayhawk: It all really won't matter when MLB a ten team league fed by the AAAA teams in locations like Cleveland and KC
    Today at 07:31:05 PM
  • indiansnation: If i was comish of milb i would get a hold of all idependent leagues and make their own league and screw over mlb. If u look at it its cheaper to go see a minor league team then mlb team.
  • indiansnation: They raise their prices a little bit milb could make it on their own.
  • ldsjayhawk: I don't think they could
  • Yeagg: That would never be possible Brain. The MLB holds all the rights to the players.
  • Yeagg: The MiLB teams have zero controll over the players
    Today at 09:23:28 PM
  • Yeagg: and without the players, there is no product for the MiLB to put on the field
    Today at 09:23:49 PM
  • indiansnation: U can put a league together easy. If mlb is cutting back minor affiluates it can only have so many players in mimors
    Today at 09:46:37 PM
  • indiansnation: Ok if mlb is struggeling to pay their minor league players and u cut draft down to 20 rd draft. Their will be a crap liad of players that milb can sign. Look at mlb last yr with vet players how many didnt get offers. U dont think those players wont go for milb if they get a good enough contract. Mlb can totaly screw them selves easy.
