1.2M was too low, the increment was less than 10%.
Your lowest allowed bid was 1.21M.

I'll overbid with my lowest allowed bid: 1.34.
(1.21x110%=1.331, rounded up gives 1.34.)

Countries of interest: England, Spain (I'm still a rookie when it comes to soccer but am willing to learn)
Favourite teams: Manchester City (I dont like Man U ever since David Backham played for them), Tottenham Hotspur (Im from New Zealand and their captain Ryan Nelsen plays for Tottenham), Real Madrid

I have recently started my own sports website (www.sportcodex.com) with a couple of friends and Ive been given the task of covering the English Premier League. I think this league could help me get up to speed as my knowledge is very limited. I understand the teams Ive chosen would be quite popular and I just want in the league so I will take nearly any team.

Also, I just wanna make one shameless plug. Anyone who likes sport should check out my website (link above.) It's a work in progress but any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

League Cup, FA Cup, Supercup (suspended for simplicity)
« Reply #34 on: April 26, 2012, 11:47:13 AM »
All cups will be played by creating a copy of the regular league in Fantrax, and then changing the scoring options accordingly.

League Cup
In every country, the League Cup is an additional (secondary) competition, in which the actual league games are simply scored again in a head-to-head format, using a separate calendar chosen specifically for that occasion.
As well as being presented with the trophy, the winning team also qualifies for the Europa League. If the winners have already qualified for the Champions League via the league, the Europa League place goes to the League Cup runners-up. If the winners have qualified for the Europa League through the league, the League Cup runners-up do not qualify, with the next placed team in the league receiving the Europa League place. If the runners-up have also qualified for the Champions League, the place goes to the next highest placed finisher in the league table.

FA Cup
In every country, the FA Cup is an additional (secondary) competition, in which the actual league games are simply scored again in a head-to-head format, using a separate calendar chosen specifically for that occasion.
As well as being presented with the trophy, the winning team also qualifies for the Europa League. If the winners have already qualified for the Champions League via the league, the Europa League place goes to the FA Cup runners-up. If the winners have qualified for the Europa League through the league, the FA Cup runners-up do not qualify, with the next placed team in the league receiving the Europa League place. If the runners-up have also qualified for the Champions League, the place goes to the next highest placed finisher in the league table. The FA Cup winners also qualify for the Supercup against the league champions.

Supercup
At the beginning of each season, the league winners and the FA Cup winners meet in additional (secondary) competition, in which the very first league game is simply scored again in a head-to-head format. If the league champions also won the FA Cup then the league runners-up provide the opposition.

Been watching football (soccer) since a nipper, as from UK. If u wondering why haven't put Man Utd, in my family that regarded as treason, as support a 3rd division club called Oldham. (8 miles from Manchester)

Thanks for signing up guys! :toast:

You can see the preliminary team allocations in your signatures. Still, the only ones set in stone are the ones where I know for a fact that you're a die-hard fan, e.g. Shelby's :MAR: or Fabiano's :BayernMunich:.

Also, are you all absolutely sure you don't like any other team than :RMA:/ :BAR: in Spain or :OL: in France? Because 10 dudes owning the same team wouldn't be optimal :P

Finally, there are still a lot of places available, so make sure to spread the news among your friends and the football forums you visit. Cheers!

If i can't get Lyon, then i can accept Juventus (but i guess we will have a real fan soon) so i would be glad to get any other french team available like Lorient.
But Olympique Lyon is a MUST have  :judge:

I have been a Liverpool fan for as long as I remember. Stevie G has been my idol since he came up the Lpool ranks. I remember the good ole days of Didi Hamann and Robbie Fowler, among many others. Istanbul was the most memorable club football match I have ever seen.
Fan of Fiorentina because I am part Italian and my family came from whereabouts.
