OF Nieuwenhuis, Kirk, $0.5m (P-n/a)MI Pastornicky, Tyler, $0.5m (P-n/a)forMI Aybar, Erick, $5.5m (2014)ATL pays $4.5m in 2012, $2.5m in 2013, $2.5m in 2014This is an exchange of starting MIs. Pastornicky will get his shot in ATL and not much stands in his way (Jack Wilson). Pastornicky and Aybar have similar skillsets, not much power, hit for avg, speed. Pastornicky has shown more tendency to walk, because Aybar just doesn't. That holds him back in this league. Kirk N. has some power, walks a bit, and K's a bit. Should score decent in this format. Has a chance to make the Mets out of Spring Ball, could be a good impact player in the next few years.I like Aybar out in front of Pujols and Morales assuming he will hold onto leadoff spot in LAA. The additional cash from ATL is given because of the contract status of the two players in return. Prospect contracts for both. The cash is also why Kirk N. was included in the offer. Nick, nice working with you, please confirm when you have the opportunity.
