A related question: To move a player to/from the G-league roster, do I just post that I want him moved and let the LMs do everything?

Before the season I moved a player in Fantrax myself and posted the move here, but it looks like I should have just posted here and waited for someone else to move him instead when I reread the rules.

I have two questions about IR slots.
Does every move from and to IR need to be posted or can I simply make the change in Fantrax?
Assuming I have temporarily 13 players (not counting G-league and including one injured player in IR) and the injured player is upgraded to healthy, how much time I have to move him to an active slot? Can I keep him out indefinitely to avoid a drop?

I mean you could do that. Not sure why you would want to but there's nothing in the rules specifically against trading 1 player for 5 and immediately buying them out.

This is a trade/roster type question I guess?

Hypothetically, if I were to trade 1 player for 5 players and I was instantly buying out the 5 players I was getting back in return would I need open roster spots for those players or can I put in the transaction post regarding the trade that I am buying out the players?

IE: I have 12 full roster spots. Can I trade one guy for more than one guy as long as I am buying out the extra number of players I am getting in return as part of the trade transaction?

I like the bidding rule change for next year.

For the other rule clarification, I think that the contract should just be set automatically (longest allowed?) if the team does not specify. Just letting it go to the next bidder has 2 problems that I see:

1) It lets owners run up bids on players and not risk getting stuck with them...they can just not sign them. If we do this, then we might as well allow owners to modify/retract offers.

2) More of a problem for fairness (although not so much for the Ingram case) is that this rule means that other owners might miss out on chances to bid what the winning bid was. For example, owner A bids 10m on a player, owner B jumps to 30m, wins and then doesn't sign the player. This would mean owner A wins for 10m even though some owners might have been willing to bid 12-30m but couldn't.

Of course, I agree that it should be next bidder for now if it is posted somewhere. Just a suggestion for the future.

Starting with next Off-season, we will have new minimums for bidding.

Under $9.9m bid, $0.5m minimum increase
$10-$49.9m, $2m minimum
$50m-$99.9m, $5m minimum
$100m+, $10m minimum

Will be updated in rules shortly. This does not effect the current Free Agency.

The rules state that someone has 3 days to post a contract after winning a player in free agency. What happens if they do not post a contract within 3 days?

Hypothetically, what if someone bids on a player with 2 minutes left in the 48 hours to win a bid just to screw over another manager, then doesn't actually want the player, wins the bid, then doesn't sign the player? What happens to the player, the manager that doesn't sign the player, and the manager that got outbid with 2 minutes left in the 48 hours?

FA is always handled this way in leagues here. You limit it like that and FA will literally take forever.

It’s only this crazy because of the amount of really good players available. There won’t be another FA pool this deep.

For next year, I feel like we should keep a max of 10-15 players on the market at one time  - when one player gets won another player get added and so on until free agency is competed. Everyone on the market at once is making my head spin lol
