Rays/Yankees trade
« on: January 16, 2020, 01:04:11 AM »
Rays send:
Anthony Volpe P-n/a
Stone Garrett P-n/a

Yankees send:
Joey Wendle P-2021
Randy Arrozarena P-n/a

The Rays search for an MI finally bears some fruit.  Not sure how much playing time Wendle will get in the IRL Rays lineup, but hoping he returns to his 2018 form for the AB's he does get...cuz 2019 was brutal.  Also looking for some good things out of Arrozarena, potentially as soon as late 2020.  In return, we give up a 2019 first round pick in Volpe and an OF with upside in Garrett.

Yankees to confirm.

Yankees accept.  After free agency I didnít have a useful spot for Wendle.  So, itís nice to get some good value out of him in volpe.

Release Elian Rodriguez to make room for both players in my minors.
