Is there a place where the changes are posted?

It sounds like these are tweaks.  I think if you're going to make changes, the changes need to encompass the whole scoring system and should start by determining what kind of balance there should be in the system.  The guys who set up FGM put a lot of time into crafting the scoring rules and I think we really want to put some analysis into a new system.  Personally, I would like to see pitching points raised, but I would also like to see the penalities in the system significantly reduced.

I really like the idea of running a league with the proposed scoring system to test it.

That is exactly what my proposed changes did :toast:

This absolutely destroys the scoring system originally put in place, which I think is unnecessary.  Skills have been eliminated (GB) and replaced by luck (W-L).  I am against this system.

This absolutely destroys the scoring system originally put in place, which I think is unnecessary.  Skills have been eliminated (GB) and replaced by luck (W-L).  I am against this system.

I originally included W-L becuase I thought that it would increase reliever's ppg, but upon further review and number tweaking I have learned that removing W-L does not change relievers ppg, so I agree with this statement.

When I had included W-L, I did not want pitchers to have too much power so I reduced GB allowed. But by removing W-L, I was able to bump GB allowed up to 2.25 (or a 50% increase) and Ground Into Double Plays was bumped up from 3 to 4.5 (or a 50% increase).

These changes increased pitchers ppg by about 40% and now 5 are in the top 50 and 26 in the top 100 of total points scored.

If that seems like too many, I can tinker with the numbers a little more to get it down to about 20 in the top 100.

By no means do I think this system is perfect, I'm only attempting to make the scoring give more realistic value to players.

For relievers, you might want to consider Inherited runners stranded.  There is some lock involved and some defense, but there really is limited pitching categories.

I already included that stat. We could possibly beef up RPs a little more but overall I think everyone is valued fairly
