REVOCABLE WAIVERS
« on: July 31, 2019, 04:54:39 PM »
This will be the final season that league does revocable waivers in month on August as we will continue to follow MLB rulings.

Revocable Waivers
After the trade deadline (and before September), any player can be placed on waivers. Players may not be put on waivers after August 31st but all other waiver transactions will finish their time frames until completion (rescind waiver, trade, release, transfer).  A claim can be placed on a player for up to 48 hours from the time the player was placed on waivers.

Once the waiver period is over, the team with the worst record wins the claim for the player.    Preference is also given to teams in the same league as the waiving team.  The waiving team then has 48 hours to make a decision to:
Trade with the team that wins the claim
Allow the winning team's claim to be executed
Revoke the player's waiver

Once a player is won, the thread will be noted with the winning team and the date and time the waiver claim expires.  If no decision is posted within 48 hours, the claim will be executed and the winning team will receive the player and be responsible for the entirety of the players remaining contract (including the current season).  There will be no exceptions to this, all decisions must be made within 48 hours.  If for some reason, you will not be able to post a revocation within the 48 hours, you may PM that revocation to the league commissioner and those in charge of ProFSL roster updates.

If a player isn't claimed by any team in either league, then he is considered to have cleared waivers and he can be traded until the end of the month to anyone.

All trades including waiver trades are subject to approval by the TC.  All players on a major league contract must be placed on waivers to be traded in August.  Players on a prospect contract (P-n/a) are not required to clear waivers to be traded and can be traded until the date that rosters are frozen.
