Addison Reed $1,750,000 2019 (Tigers pay fully)

Brewers trade:

8th round pick 2020


Simple straight forward deal, Reed on waivers and couldn't afford him so landing via trade for a pick. Chance he doesn't play at all but if he gets another shot somewhere there is also a chance he can help me out come playoffs and it's a low risk.

Oh forgot about this, technically I guess the rule did pass so no issue if this doesn't pass especially since it's such a minor deal.

However, this causes a major problem for other deals such as the recent ATL/PHI blockbuster where 2020 and 2021 picks are traded so not sure best approach. Looks like myself and the entire TC overlooked this so not sure best course of action. Would also have to look into if any other deals where made with picks past 2019.

I was hoping that you could just move the pick to 2019 but I see now that you have already traded that pick. I cannot find the link to the Blockbuster trade. I don't see it in the completed transactions.

Link in my previous reply is for the other trade. Processed only on Fantrax, part of the big pile of outstanding transactions we need to update on sheets.

And yeah, I moved a lot of 2019 picks already so won't work, but am totally ok either way on this decision here. If we didn't have the other trade, I'd say this is fine to be nixed but want to figure out a best course of action.

Yeah, it wouldn't really be fair to block this trade after the other one went through. I don't have a big problem with it. You guys in upper management will have to decide. I would eventually like to see the rules get updated and condensed into one area though. They are kind of spread out and the newest rules aren't in the rules link. I know there is already plenty to do. Thanks, for your work in helping keep the league alive.

I totally overlooked to the fact that beginning in 2020, picks can't be traded.  However, where is the right place to draw the line?  Is it after this trade, before the blockbuster or does that rule need to be looked at again?
