LeSean McCoy signs extension

Philadelphia Eagles have signed RB LeSean McCoy to a 5 year contract extension worth $45m with $20m guaranteed. This makes him the 3rd highest paid RB behind Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson. Great signing for the Eagles to keep McCoy an Eagle through 2017.

I'll agree that they have the talent on paper to be, but I want to see it translate on the field and in the win/loss column. Regardless, good job by philly to lock this guy up long-term (in RB years) and keeping him happy. 2 birds, 1 stone.

Thats my boy! Following the :PHI-NFL: for the last 10 years, getting this deal done, really shows how much the organization values him. They never really paid westbrook, who was a similiar RB. They always get rid of guys when they are on the decline (McNabb, Dawkins, Brown, Shepperd, and so on). It even says more when they shipped out asante just to have the money to sign him. He was signed through this year, so they could of easily just waited, but smart move to sign this guy now, to what I believe will be a solid contract and this guy will be a star until 2017. I can only hope that Maclin is next to be signed long term. Those are the two best  players on the team. I can only hope Vick does less passing and more handing off this year, they had a good record when they did that last year.
