Although Ottawa is getting Bogosian, he has not been a performer in his career and has been injured frequently. Thus I would conclude the winner of this trade is Calgary.

I think Bogosian is very overrated but if you want a strong depth defender he's you guy and at a cap hit of 1.5m, that's a bargain for what he brings to the table IMO. Tolchinsky is a little bit of a head scratcher for me at least at this point in time but I can see him returning to NA and blowin' up in the new faster and smaller NHL game! If the NHL Caps move Burakovsky, he's going to post bigger point totals immediately so this is a great gamble by Ottawa.
