i am not blaming you for taking the trade or arguing your case to get the trade through.  I would do the same.

I just think Montreal got hosed (you should have traded him a pick to take Leighton's contract off your hands).  It is approved now and I didn't say anything during the debate process on purpose since i didn't want to skew anyone's vote. Just couldn't help but at least voice my opinion for future trades.

No matter what anyone here said, or will say, Gomez's contract was a big part of the trade.
Maybe it's not part of it here, but that's why Whomp did it.

I proposed the deal, BrewCrew did not take advantage of me.

Is that what you wanted me to say?

U could say I made him an offer no man could refuse.

If you include Gomez's contract, I think it's a pretty good deal.

Regardless, the deal was processed so it's water under the bridge at this point, but all-in-all it's probably one of the worst i've seen put through in any league i've been in. The thing about Gomez is that Brew has no ownership in that player so its NOT part of the deal, he opened a 200K bid on Gomez, thats all..... Worse came to worse he gets a potential 50-60 point scorer for 200K for 2 years? Brew got 1 million in cash, 1 first rounder and 1 prospect AND he offloaded Leighton who has now been assigned to the ECHL. I understand Whomp got the discount because of the bid, but it was inevetible that someone would at least put a 200K bid on him. But what did Whomp save 4 million was it? But he took on a deal weight salary for Leighton and gave away 1 million in cash.

Anyway, I could babble all day but it's done and pushed through, i'm just very surprised that anyone at all could see this as an approvable deal in the least.....

Nope it isn't.  I guess my problem is a see Leighton as a liability and not an asset to a team.  So in my eyes he gave up 2 good prospects, 1 million dollars and took on another bad contract of  1.7 just for you to put a 200k bid on Gomez a 50-60pt player.

I proposed the deal, BrewCrew did not take advantage of me.

I think it was a bad deal for you whether you proposed it or not, but everyone is guilty of making a bad deal here and there.

In this case I am more harping on the ProSFL TC because I don't think they properly did their homework.  I have commissioned a few leagues for the past 5 years and never found the 3rd party TC to work well. The guys don't have a depth knowledge of what players values are in the league because it can vary by a lot depending on scoring categories, wavier rules, number of players, etc.
I have respect for Robo and the guys in it I just dont think you can do a proper job without being in the league.

  • Daddy: Honestly i love the deal because my GMs love it. I dont say good deal bad deal or i like this side better.  My goal is to provide a fair platform where people are free to trade and not be judged because nobody knows for sure how these trades will play out. Lots of ACLs are gonna tear between now and new years.  Im always happy that two strangers with different backgrounds can meet in our league and enjoy freedom to be themselves and do what THEY THINK is best. I love every deal. (Had to share that @Braves) :toast:
