Ottawa agrees to this trade with Chicago. We didn't receive any offers for Campbell who has an expiring contract, is old as old can be and has a relatively expensive extension dollar amt for someone pushing 40 years of age. So we get a young player who's even better than the 2nd round draft pick we asked for. In fact he's a sure thing already having established himself in the NHL this year. I accepted Garbutt's inactive cap hit as compensation for Carrier's future value. Happy to make this trade for our team's future.
