After short negotiations, the and have come up with another trade.  The really like OF Shin-Soo Choo, but at age 34, health has become a negative variable, and the need to go with a younger, more reliable OF is a motivating factor. Yasmany Tomas had a breakout year of sorts in 2016, and at 26, the are banking on him to maintain his power stroke for the duration of his contract--a contract that is very prohibitive--but offset by the Cash Exchanges agreed to by the   The depth is hurt by the loss of CI Justin Smoak, but with the chance to upgrade the OF, he had to go to offset Tomas' contract. 

The Indians need to confirm.

The :Cle: really needed depth, and really like Choo if he can find a way to stay healthy. Getting Smoak also fills a need at CI. Perlaza has a chance to to be a special player.
