PPG CUTS & PASTES CONTRACTS FROM TEAM PGS

To Montreal
G Matt Murray, $0.4m (2016-2019-EL)
C/LW Sergey Kalinin, $1.0m (2016-2018)
RW Phil Kessel, $7.5m (2014-2018)

To Toronto
LW Viktor Arvidsson, $0.2m (2015-2017)
RW Troy Brouwer, $5.5m (2014-2018)
G Connor Hellebuyck, $5.5m (2016-2020)
MiLR G - Brandon Halverson (2014: 2/59 - 0 Games)

*This move pending ppgs math on Toronto and Montreal's team paged are correct.

So normally when a team jumps out this week like Toronto has you let it run its course. Torontos GM is a bit unconventional when it comes to construction. Losing Murray was a real tough decision to make. Adding Arvidsson and Brower should add stability on the wings. Hellebuyck is a good goalie with a heavy work load, i figure he is a step back from Murray who is going to be a stud for years to come. What made this a little easier is prospect goalie Brandon Halverson who ripped up the OHL. He will have to adjust to the pro game, most likely in the ECHL. Also Toronto has Eamon McAdam in the AHL looking pretty solid right now. Thanks to Snug for the easy negoations, class as usual

I wanted to say Montreal win b/c they get the protected G....... but really this is a great deal for both teams. I like Hellebuyck more long term and his contract is still great and long term.

I did this deal for multiple reasons. 1st  huge pens fan and getting Kessel and Murray floats my boat. 2nd  this protectsite my 2 goalie advantage going in to next season since Murray is a prospect so I  can  protect dubnyk.

Thanks for the negotiations

Great trade by Montreal and Toronto.
This makes me think back to the old John Kordic for Russ Courtnall trade. A doozy.

A well-conditioned team wins in the first ten minutes, maybe less. The opponent is destroyed not just on the scoreboard but their will is broken when an opponent comes out hard and fast.

A significant trade indeed.

Might I suggest edits to the contract since they are not the actual ones from the team pages.
