Rules: Keepers
« on: July 10, 2016, 12:32:17 AM »
Number of Keepers
2 kept per year.

Keeper Restriction
1) Any keeper is only allowed to be kept a max of 3 year before re-entry into the re-draft.
This means that if Antonio Brown is kept after this season, he can only be kept 2 more years no matter by which team before being required be a non-keeper.

2) Only drafted players may be kept. Waiver claimed players can not be kept and must be released back to the re-draft.

3) Keepers must be kept at their previous years draft value.
This means that if David Johnson was drafted in the 9th round, he could be kept in the next season for that teams 9th round pick. If he was drafted in the 1st round, he would be kept for that teams 1st round pick.

4) Non-drafted keepers (from year 1 of the league) must be kept at ADP for the previous season as per fantasypros.com for the number of teams in the league at the time of the previous years live draft.
This means that if Jamaal Charles was a keeper in year 1. He would need to be kept at a 1st round draft pick based on ADP from the previous season. If he is again kept in year 2 then Jamaal could be kept at his new ADP of a 2nd round pick and so on.
This also means that their draft value is "floating" (can change from year to year).

In 2018 the 2-keeper players by each team is listed in last 2-rounds of live draft.

  • Daddy: If 9 people vote, 6 approve and 3 veto in what world should the 3 overrule the 6?
  • Daddy: Let the veto heads eat without killing people's deals. That will make the majority happy.
  • Yeagg: I think this will be an easy pass. 2 vetoes is too little. Personally I'd be fine with killing the veto too

  • Daddy: I hope CCD, NFLC, and other leagues look at and address the veto system. I'm not sure how much more evidence is required or what has to happen for the leaders to appreciate the this on going situation.

  • Billy: Not happening
  • Daddy: If people vote they conscious on each deal and want to veto, they shouldn't be intimidated from doing so, but 2 vetoes killing a deal has always been insane.
