Tirreno Adriatico
« on: March 02, 2016, 06:24:18 AM »
There's only one uphill finish, favouring all-rounders possibly?
And I have to choose between 13 riders
Could you guys offer any advice?

Must take: Kwiato, Tiesj, Fabian, Bauke
Impossible choices: Rebellin (riding for himself), Pellizotti & Gavazzi (for the former?), past winner Scarponi (for Nibs), Andersen (for himself), Machado (for Purito), Monfort (who knows, it's Lotto after all)
Prolly missing out: Quinziato (for van Garderen), Bauer (for Uran)

Bauer, Monfort, Anderson, Scarponi, Gavazzi, Pellizotti and Quinziato.

Leave the other riders out.

Bauer, Monfort, Anderson, Scarponi, Gavazzi, Pellizotti and Quinziato.

Leave the other riders out.

I would go for most of these, but would take Rebellin instead of Bauer

Arndt,Barbero,Visconti and Vermote for Tirreno but I'm more excited about PN where I have Bardet,Boswell who can be top10 in GC and Gilbert,Dani Diaz,Felline who probably also can score points

Just 4 riders, but could get me some points Juul Jensen, and Konig! This will be the first time Konig has raced on our calandar. Sinkeldam return from injury, and Targot fills out the ride list.

Leading the charge for Cannondale in Italy will be Purito Rodriguez ably supported by Torres, Barbin, Selig, Howard, Puccio and Hofland.

Hopefully Purito can hang on in the TT for a decent GC and Moreno and Leigh can find their sprinting legs.

What a joke... I went in with 8 excellent climbers, meaning just lost 200-400 points by yesterday's idiotic cancellation.

With Dani Moreno and Damiano Caruso as 15th and 2nd in GC I feel like I'm losing some points also with the cancallation. Bakelands could even go direction top 15, as he is in good shape and riding for himself.

I can hope Caruso can defend a top 10 spot in GC with a short time trial like that. But the others will fall back as everybody is still close. I hope it's enough to regain my number 1 spot in the classification back. It would be nice to start as leader at MS. There I can wave to the camera's and start falling back during rest of season. At least I was on tv!

For the win it's probably between Van Garderen and Stybar and perhaps Greg, always giving Greg a chance for second place ... But what with Sagan then? He will be able to make another joke when he ends 4th ...

Tirreno is a joke anyway. GC is for 95% determined by a TTT and by a TT of 10k's.
A lot of good TT'ers or explosive guys have lost a lot of time as they weren't expecting to end will in the climb to san vicenzo. Turns out a lot of riders missed a chance of winning TA. For me I think of BoHagen. Without that mountain stage he was candidate number one to go for the win. Ach too bad!

  • Daddy: I ask because I see our picks somewhere between 20-32 and those 2 guys were drafted @ #20 in 2018 & 2019 respectively. Ramsey is imo the best at what he does. Are they?

  • Daddy: Apparently the MLB has put forth the idea of reducing the number of minor-league teams by more than a quarter (42 teams would be cut in the reported proposal). Additionally, MLB's proposal would reduce the draft to 20 rounds, reduce the number of contracted players in each organization, and alter the structure -- with some affiliates moving up or down in level.
    October 18, 2019, 09:54:11 PM
  • indiansnation: Trying to pay players in minors more noney and cut down the cost of it also. I think once these moves are done i can see mlb doing a baseball realinement for mlb teams also
