Learned a lesson
« on: February 29, 2016, 04:33:42 AM »
Yesterday I've learned a lesson. It's better not to fill in your sheet if you cannot find the riders who will start in a course because it's announced too late. Therefore I missed my points for Omar Fraile at Lugano. I only could find Bole as a starter...

I think I will not fill in the sheet anymore as that will bring more points as filling it in... So see you all again at the beginning of the next season when the bidding begins...

I've lost 50 points that same way in Qatar.
But don't worry, the 42 points of Fraile don't make much a difference in the end of the season.
I think teams are puzzeling a lot to get teams at the start of a race in the pre-season.
Once the big races start, it won't happen so often.
I hope you don't lose the pleasure of playing the game even with those small incidents.
Propably at the end of the season everybody had that kind of incident. MTN has been a victim too already.

But when you don't have more then 4 riders in a race it's always better to place your roster on "auto". Then you have no risk.

Check these two the day before the race.

http://www.procyclingstats.com/races.php

http://www.cyclingfever.com/startlist.html

I did, but it's still not 100%. The evening before Oman the Astana team was unsure for both websites. And concerning my riders, there where 2 differences between both websites.  Day after seemed that PCS was both times right.

These two are the sites I use for my rosters.  But I will use the idea of Davy to put teams on auto with less than 4 riders...

If you think its bad on a game like this, its bad when you have to do the startlists for a game that hundreds are playing, and thus need to be up to date, so that the players can pick there teams. especially for the side of the game where they have to pick 8 riders for the whole race, based around a budget

Thats why I fill mine in as im always checking startlists!
