This has been addressed...Peter has asked you politely to send a pm if you need to discuss further!!

Thank you,

Mike

This has become a formal proposal to change the rule back.  I think you would see how much support there is.  Did you read my comment about why your system is flawed?  I will not pm to discuss this, there is no reason to.

hey chris, 3 things...
1) discussion is good in any league... especially RE rule changes.
2) disagree with changing rules mid-season / in-season unless theres a grand canyon of a error ... i don't think this qualifies
3) my thoughts on this rule to keep MiLR players off fantrax ... either way is fine since (a) some teams have zero-few NHL ready players while others only have NHL ready players they can move in and out of their fantrax roster daily, (b) every league is different and doesn't have to mimic the NHL 100% ... thought goalies were absolutely needed here in Franchise but one look at Gilly's NYI team and we realize you can play without a goalie... apparently Drew did it last yr.

I want to re-post what I had said about the rule in place:

That loophole was already solved, that once a player reaches so many games they must be promoted.  Teams in the NHL consistently have call ups and send backs...we haven't got two-way contracts so there is no way to replicate this.  Which is why, leaving them on fantrax emulates that.  Instead, if I call up Caron and he plays one game and gets sent back, I've started his prospect clock for no reason, and he eats up a roster spot.  Do you understand what I am saying.  Your system is unrealistic because when my prospects do play in the NHL I can't use them.  There is no reason for that part of the rules you guys changed.  It does not prevent people from signing players and sending them back down, it has nothing to do with it...

Not allowing players on fantrax does not curb the suggested problem.  It has nothing to do with stopping the revolving door.  We should be allowed to use our prospects while they are still on our minor league rosters.  This is not a radical idea as it has been replicated in other leagues.  Managers, realize this rule does nothing to help us and only hurts us in turn...

When Jordan Caron plays a game for the Bruins, my fantasy team should be able to start him or not; without starting the prospect contract clock.  We can't send players back down...

I will concede that the rule change should take place in the next offseason.

also in regards to pigsrule "(b) every league is different and doesn't have to mimic the NHL 100%"

from the rules:
League Premise
To represent the current atmosphere of NHL for GMs in a manner that works effectively with fantasy hockey while not making it overly complicated to play.

This is why many of the rules were created, to mimic the NHL (such as; cap floor).

And note that the rules for that was never changed by the new administration.  I was the last person to modify that rule page and it was done in feb.  The intent of the league is to represent the NHL.

Since this league is meant to have 30 happy Gm's and you not happy with the current set up on that rule...we can put it up for a vote? and the league decides, and if your okay with it like you said, we could implement it for next season....Thoughts on this Chris?  Im open to whatever you think, as I would like you to be as happy as the other Gm's in the league!!

The club also placed right-hander Michael Grove on the 15-day injured list due to lat tightness. In corresponding moves, the club has recalled right-hander J.P.
