how about team that has the most stage wins?

A bit impossible to count manually...

Why not have us make our vuelta prediction later in the season? when a better startlist idea is known?

Or maybe allow people to make their prediction conditional? ("Contador if he participates, otherwise Purito")

winning team
team that made the highest jump in total points scored? Sure
Best GT team, Best Cobbled Classics, Best Hilly Classics? Yes, yes and yes
winning rider
best rider points/€ in scrubs (40-200k salary)
best rider points/€ in duds (210k+ salary)
rider with highest total score increase 2016 vs. 2015 (only those under contract in 2015)
drafted neo-pro with highest total score Not bothered either way

IRL

Milano-SanRemo Yes
Tour of Flanders & Paris-Roubaix Separate
Liege Bastogne Liege, or alternatively the entire Ardennes Triptyque (lowest sum of 2 best placings among riders who finish at least 2?) Just LBL if we have best hilly classic team
Lombardia Yes
Giro
Tour
Vuelta
(possibly excluding the big 4/5/X, since it's a lottery to know which one of them will participate?) Everyone gets to pick 2 riders who haven't podiumed a GT before, take highest finish
OGRR
WCRR
OGTT and WCITT
, separately or combined (lowest sum of placings among riders who finish both?) 3 man TT teams, 10-6-4-3-2-1 for each race, our top 3 then score the usual 4-2-1
WorldTour (I agree it's probably too similar to our game winner)
Champs-Élysées winner or Green Jersey winner or most Tour stages or most GT stages Most tour stages

I'm pretty okay with the categories you chose.
But I miss first stage in TdF. It's the officious WC for sprinters.
And further, the more categories there are, the more I like it.

Predicting races is nice.
But predictions about our own teams and about our own game is more than nice and make the game more valuable.
In addition to best value/€, you can predict the worst ...
Team leading end of april.
Predict top 5-teams, predict worst 5-teams, ...

PM sent, cast your votes!!! :judge:

(Thanks everybody! Nice ideas, Ace!)

The same could be said for the last stage. And since it's a bit too boring to pick the green jersey nowadays, went with most stages.

So much negativity... why? :P

Team leading end of april.

Nice, threw in both the team and the rider!

True, but this year it's all about the first stage, because winner gets mellow johny. And in the first stage everybody participates. At the end, there will be not that much sprinters anymore ...

Time of year I guess ... Dark wet days ... Need vacation  :bla:
And it's because I like the predictions about our own game and teams. And I can't come up with better categories. And it's nice to say: I think you have the worst team, because everybody thinks he has the best team no?   :bump:

End of april is such a nice period. In Romandie they open a new can cyclists for the rest of the season. On the wintertraining teams also ride in 2 groups. The guys to perform early, and the guys who perform from may.
Last years though a little change, with more quality in Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Addriatico and the other stage races. Getting WT-points has become more important I guess ...

Im doing my predictions now, sorry ive left it so late. Just one question, the best rider in the scrubs category being 40k-200k, is that on purpose to exclude 30k riders, ie the neo pro's? Just making sure it wasn't a typo

I have to say I found that BooYah!  difficult. There isn't a single team that 'appears' to be stupidly strong in any discipline. I may be wrong of course, I was last year  :toth:

I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty tight comp this year.

    October 14, 2019, 01:53:50 AM
  • Brent: He's not $40M/yr good.  they they will have 20% of their cap tied up in one position.

  • Yeagg: Honestly idk BooYah! about football. I just play fantasy football for fun

  • Yeagg: I'm still trying to figure out how I have Dak Prescott, LeVeon Bell, Austin Ekeler, Phillip Lindsay, DeAndre Hopkins, Michael Thomas, Mike Williams, AJ Green, Darren Waller, Nick Bosa, Josh Allen, Khalil Mack, and Blake Martinez on one of my fantasy teams and I am 3-3
    October 14, 2019, 01:59:13 AM

  • indiansnation: u got a very good team yeagg
    October 14, 2019, 02:01:28 AM
  • Brent: Same concept especially if you consider NFLC.  The NFL salary cap is the same as our $188.2M year.  The difference is RL football you have to pay offensive lineman and most teams carry 6-8 with left tackle being about the highest paid non QB position.  That was until recently, but they still get paid.  So if you pay your QB $40M/yr, your LT $15M/yr and the rest of your line a total of about $25-35M year, that could be $90M on 6-7 players.  You still have to field all of your skill positions and defense for the other $100M.
    October 14, 2019, 02:01:46 AM
  • Yeagg: I should be better than a .500 team
    October 14, 2019, 02:02:00 AM
  • Brent: Yeah, I have a couple redraft leagues where I should be better than I am.
    October 14, 2019, 02:02:36 AM
  • Yeagg: Isn't that where drafting comes in handy
    October 14, 2019, 02:02:49 AM
  • Brent: Exactly
    October 14, 2019, 02:03:34 AM
  • Yeagg: I was referring to the cap space comment in case you didn't know
    October 14, 2019, 02:04:38 AM
  • indiansnation: i think its harder guessing what yound guys will produce in nfl than baseball
    October 14, 2019, 02:05:31 AM
  • Brent: The Cowboys got lucky with La'ell Colllins.  He was 1st round talent, but fell out of the draft to UDFA due to false allegations that he was cleared of. So they got one of if not the best OT from that draft for peanuts.  Eventually he will need to be paid.
    October 14, 2019, 02:06:28 AM
  • Brent: Yeah, the draft is huge and also hitting on UDFAs.  Teams have to develop and then keep their own talent or they'll go broke and end up in salary cap hell.
    October 14, 2019, 02:07:09 AM
  • Yeagg: So basically just like baseball
    October 14, 2019, 02:17:10 AM
  • indiansnation: yep nfl u gotta watch how much u pay look at browns they are going to have that problem in 2021 they have alot of good tallent thats going to need to get paid.
    October 14, 2019, 02:17:13 AM
  • Yeagg: And no way Brian. Baseball has 40 rounds and still most of those guys never even sniff the MLB
    October 14, 2019, 02:17:33 AM
  • Yeagg: More 1st round picks are bust than even play a full season
    October 14, 2019, 02:18:02 AM
  • Brent: They also have between now and then to figure out who will be resigned and who will be replaced and don't they still have quite a few 1st round picks between now and then?
    October 14, 2019, 02:24:21 AM
  • indiansnation: Hey if u have a top notch gm with a great scouting staff u can make any player u draft be great. Look at Boston their minors sick why is that because they suck at drafting. Know look at Tampa and indians and miami they have pretty dang good minors especially I diane look at who they had pitching this year bauer got traded, and they lost 2 of their sp most. Of the yr
