Keeper Deadline, Supplemental start date
« on: July 07, 2015, 09:39:28 AM »
Deadline to announce keepers is 7/21/15 at Midnight EST.

There are only a few teams yet to announce keepers:
Pittsburgh
Tampa Bay
Anaheim
St Louis

The 2015 Supplemental will begin on August 3rd at 8AM EST.  There will be a 12 hour pick clock to begin the draft.  This timer is subject to change as the draft goes on.

I have made this suggestion on another league.

For consideration,,, would you want to setup the draft to go through Fantrax?

I would be more than willing to set it up and it will make life easier on several fronts,   1) the timer is automated and can be set to pause overnight 2) all the players will be added to the teams for you instead of having to do it yourself. 3) the system can be setup to automatically email the team when its their turn to pick 4) teams can setup a draft que so if they know they are going to be unavailable they can set what they need.  5) fantrax keeps a nice tally/results of draft that can be viewed later if need be.  6) its probably easier to transfer the results from Fantrax to prosfl than it is the other way around.

Will it allow for our quirky draft order?  Also if picks are traded last minute is it easy enough to adjust the team that's on the clock?

If so I like the idea.

yes and yes.  All i would need is the standard draft order 1 -20 and then I could go in and manually re-assign the picks that have been traded so far.

You can trade picks mid draft. I would just have to double check our settings to make sure it can be done either automatically by just processing a trade or you can do it manually as a commissioner.  either way it can be done.

Just checked it out.  The draft room looks sexy.  Do we need to be a premium league to do this?  Also will it allow us to draft both draftees and <40GP players?  I think so on the latter since your draft pool looks like it includes all players available in the league.

Perfect.  Let's do it.  This will save me SO much work.  I assume as a co-commish in Fantrax you have all the permissions to set it up?

Actually since the premium features are free right now (ie. dont have to pay until september) I could setup the minor league eligibility options which would makes viewing players that are available for draft much easier.  ( would just have to go to players and set to "minors (fantasy) available").  it would then only show all players who are available to draft under our leagues minor league availability rules.

You'd be able to get all <40GP players.  Even those with and without NHL games?
