I would also be in favor of draft picks being traded.  I understand that we want to mirror real life MLB as much as possible but in the world of fantasy sports we have to keep managers interested and want to keep playing in a free league.  There always has to be a rebuilding process where a manager feels like they will have a chance in the future.

I am in favor of draft pick trading because it makes the league more interesting.  It does help in making trades and can be used as a way of improving rebuilding teams.  The 60 day rule is a good one.

I to agree that Draft Pick trading may be a good thing and the 60 Day Rule is a necessary rule.

Once again; this is why we have other leagues.  I think the push to change rules needs to come to a close.  At this point, we should be looking at how to improve processes (such as hiring GMs).

I would not have brought up the issue if AGM is more competitve than its current state.

Seems like everyone likes the trading of draft picks to some degree, what harm is there to implement it?

I wasn't against taking the rule out in the first place.

While unrealistic the trading of draft picks does add a nice level to the game.

60 days is fine for reasons stated.  keeps teams honest when bidding on players.

i have been a strong opponent of trading picks, but it does make it a lot more fun to do so. I would have no problem going back to the old ways of doing things. But i do think every team should have to keep their first rounder.

I feel like that dictates a GM's moves too much.  Also, teams may trade heavily to get the number 1 overall.  This could in turn benefit the teams with the worst records.  I think it should be left open to all picks being traded, if we decide to trade any.

 :iatp:

The other benefit of trading picks is it allows teams to get more value out of the draft. Suppose a team has the 5th overall pick and see nothing that he likes, he should be able to trade down or something to maximize the value.

there are various other reasons as to why we shouldn't allow it with restrictions.  allow it or do not, IMO.
