What are people's thoughts on the draft then? Who do you think has done best? Cort unsurprisingly was first up, but there is some very good potential here. If you had to pick the 5 you think will score the most points this year who would it be?

They have the potential, but i expect these in 2015 as the best neo's. MA Lopez is also a big gun in the future, but not in 2015. He has to learn to ride in Europe with the pros.

Herklotz was good value in the 2nd; i really should have skipped but tracking a neo is more fun.

I haven't done much research yet (luxury of 1st pick) but will post some predictions when i look into neos more for the cyclingnews cq games (anyone who like fantasy cycling should head to the games forum there).

I watched draft day recently (to get in the mood perhaps) and Im reminded of the line: 'There aint no thing like a sure thing', which I think is the case here (case in point: simon vs adam yates. That is, people seemed to expect simon to do better than adam). In this case, I hope all will do well and I expect we will be surprised.

I do think Teunissen is ready, which should translate into great scores... for Vanmarcke

I'm not sure why, but there is something so very unpredictable about young cyclists. Remember how great Dombrowski was supposed to be? How Wellens and Aru slipped in our drafts before? How good Moser was... for a single year before disappearing into mediocrity?

I've been looking into a few of these picks as my knowledge is a bit short on the U23 racers. Some of them look very interesting but as you say who knows!!!!

I'm pleased with Kung, he was one of my top 3 choices after Cort Neilsen and Ewan, BMC also seem to give their neos a run out rather like Orica and rather unlike Sky. Obviously not surprised that no-one has gone for Martinelli because of this, quite how Sky attract any young talent is surprising.

On a purely selfish basis, I'm very keen to see how Manzin goes as FDJ seem to like their young sprinters, I guess it depends on how Reza works out and whether Manzin gets a run on his own or just works for Demare. He looks a prospect anyway.

  • Vik: On second though almost no point for BOD unless it's just top 4 teams or something as of the freeze but probably best we just enjoy ball/hockey in real life assuming they finish it off
