I confirm this deal. Hated to give up D Garrison in his prime, and the 13th pick in this years draft, but I believe this deal paves the way for the future. Thanks for the easy talks jackdaniels.

I dont know how the rest of the TC will see this, but I really like this deal for both sides.

I like what NJ is doing alot, its smart getting Ortio and young depth/talent... and Calgary is poised to spend some cap, take some risks, and make a legit run at the

This is a terrible deal for N.J. especially with their 1st round pick included. Koekkoek is the best prospect who is no where near a top prospect. You got cap space and I know you like the return so I will approve.

Cap is king. I'm a broken record. Lol Marty is a 1/2-1yr rental then he's hanging 'em up. is getting a lot younger and recovering the 6 million in cap they gave up in the Avs deal where they added Stewart and Frattin. I like the deal for both sides.

You got to read the trades by the same team back to back to get an idea of what's happening. Fine work gents! Fine work indeed! Calgary taking on lots of cap but getting players that are ready to go. New Jersey gets a lot of young talent. Good all around.
