I think it goes top 10 in, with the 4 division winners getting the top 4 spots and then 5 and 6 getting a bye 7-10 battle it out the first week. Just wanted to give the last few days some energy with so many teams still alive. Tie breaker, I believe is Fantasy Points For. The parentheses shows where the team's seed could go.
1. (2) Blues 31-17 - currently going 1-1 this week, so they could be looking at #2, but probably #1
2. (1) Bruins 31-17 - getting murdered by the Ducks best they could do is go 1-1, probably #2
3. (6,7) Red Wings 26-12 - currently 0-2 this week. If they lose both games and the Hurricanes go 1-1 they will be looking at a big drop from #3 to probably #7
4. (8,9,10, out) Oilers 22-16 - coming up big right now, 2-0 this week and looking like they are going to hold off the pack and claim their division and the #4 spot. If they somehow lose 1 or both things get nutty.
5. Ducks 28-10 - really making a mockery of competition this week. For sure going 2-0 and probably just missing out on a division title. Locked into the #5 and a 1st round bye
6. (7) Avs 25-13 - in a couple tight matches at 1-1 on the week. They can't go higher than #6 (1st round bye), but they could drop down to the 7th spot with even 1 loss and have to play in the 1st round.
7. (3,6) Canes 25-13 - probably going 0-2 this week, but a chance for 1-1. If 1-1 happens and the Red Wings lose 2 they are the #3. 1-1 with the Red Wings going 1-1, Avs 1-1 it would come down to points
8. (4,9,10, out) Canucks 22-16 - currently 1-1, not a great shot at their division but a slim one. If they go 1-1 they could still keep their 8th spot, or they could be bounced from the playoffs entirely. Tense!
9. (8,10) Hawks 21-17 - currently 2-0, a lock to win at least 1 game here, but that just might not be enough. To be a lock they need both wins, going 1-1 would put them in on points.
10. (4,8,9, out) Maple Leafs 21-17 - currently 2-0, but just barely. 1-1 is not safe at all as their Fantasy Points For won't hold off the hyenas behind them. 0-2 and they are most probably out. 2-0 sets themselves up for a possible back to back division championship.
Bubble Teams
(8,9,10, out) Capitals 20-18 - currently 1-1, most probably winning at least 1 and a good shot to win 2. 0-2 and they are out, 1-1 and they would need the Leafs to lose both to get in on points. 2-0 sets them up for ranges 8-10.
(8,9,10,out) Kings 20-18 - currently 1-1, most probably winning at least 1, and the 2nd game is real close against the Canucks. With the Caps set to win at least 1, they would need to win 2 games to leapfrog those ahead because they cannot get in on points.
