We give up a excellent young back-up goalie in Talbot who has shown flashes of brilliance already. Brassard and Cizikas underperformed for us and the writing was on the wall for the pair of pivots. We also add 2 skilled prospects to our MiLR in Tanner and Jake and give up 2 minor leaguers who didn't have a future in our organization.

Bruins to confirm.

My Bruins need some depth at Center and Brassard's contract which expires this season gives us flexibilty to resign or release him to Free Agency. The key was landing a backup goalie. Giving up McCabe and Richard is hard but we are getting a great package of players to help us now!

We sent out a few trade offers and both the Preds and Hawks wanted to do some business with us and we are glad we could reach an agreement so quickly with both those teams.

Krejci is a great player but in this league even a back-up goaltender like Cam Talbot is more valuable.

wins now and wins in a few years when those two prospects develop into full-time players.

Talbot got a shutout last evening asking the Habs (1-0). I think could've received more in return for a goalie but that's their decision to accept what they want/need in return within reason as long as it's not hurting his franchise, which this trade is not.

I'll give the WIN to on this trade for landing the better package, plus a goalie!

Oh I know but the market isn't incredibly hot for back ups and with Brassard's contract expiring I had to leave my trade buddy with something for next season to remember the trade by. LOL

Krejci is a talented young center and my Hawks are really happy to land him.
