I am not a tc member, but just my two seconds. Wainwright is better than Cain. However, Sandoval for Cahill a wash at best. Cahill  is good yes, but you cant forget that Pablo was a pretty big spec. Yes he had an awful year. If I had to pick a side I would say I like the Twins side better, however looking at the Giants team, they need all the offense they can get. Plus although Wainwright is better, Cain is no slouch. He still gets back a good young pitcher and adds a potential pretty good bat. Just 2 years ago Pablo put in over 3700 and averaged 25 points a game. He has shown he can play, I think this is a very good trade. Most gm's in this league value hitters more than pitchers.....so even more sense to me that this is a good trade.

  And I approve the trade.  It's a fine deal, two pitchers for a pitcher and a Hitter.  I have argued about pitcher value again and again because we know that Bats run the league.  Therefore, I think that alone accounts for the miscalculation of value.  Further, the judgment of player value is not the purpose of this committee.  We're designed to veto fishy trades that seem to be cheating.  Sandoval was untouchable in any league I played in before this season.  That's a risk a GM takes on talent, not my job to judge.
