Hidden Amongst The Timber
« on: September 20, 2013, 10:20:10 AM »
News has hit the Twin Cities that local favorite Kevin Love has been dealt.  There is a lot of frustration around town, as people are questioning where the ownership of the team is heading with this move. They have brought in 2 big men to replace Love, but neither individually offers as much talent as Love provides when he is on the court,

Time will tell what this move will do.  Are the T-wolves on a mission to tank and grab Andrew Wiggins? Ownership denies the allegations, but some in the local media are not so sure.

Shocking turn of events in Minnesota.  After the announcement of the trade of Kevin Love (and once the fans stoped rioting in the streets) many went to the stores to purchase their new Roy Hinnert jerseys to prepare for the upcoming season.  A few dedicated fans even had T-shirts made up displaying both he a Thomas Robinson hugging baby Timberwolves.

However, news has been handed down from the front office that the trade has been vetoed because the commish and his cronies didnt like it.  Well, now that news has not setteld well in the twin cities.  The people of Minnesota are shockingly more prone to rioting and social anarchy than I would guessed before this year.

As for me, just a humble beat reporter for the team.  Well I will be mailing the commish and many high ranking officials in the league photos of cows having sex everyday, because it isnt illegal.  Stay tuned folks, things are getting very interesting in Minny.

oh....and welcome back Kevin

Wonder how Kevin Love feels going back to a team that tried to trade him?  The same goes for Hibbert and T-Rob.  T-Rob has been traded so much already he has to be frustrated with how his NBA career has started.

That was hilarious!

Never considered what Hibbert and T-Rob will feel after this, especially T-Rob after his team-hopping. Look out for him to breakout when he finds a team that will love him and let him stay.

As for Kevin Love, you are still welcome to Miami!  :P

The Cleveland Cavaliers are HEAVILY interested in Kevin Love and is making a full on pursuit for his services. Not hiding this. Offers have already been sent out to Minnesota and are awaiting a response.

Good move for Hibbert.  He is 7'2" 290lbs. He gets close to 3 blocks a game with a chance to double-double.  His scoring should go up since his wrist is healed going into this season.

T-Rob could turn into a J.J. Hickson-type player providing a good source of rebounds.  If his Defense comes along then you got yourself a solid front court.

Rumors are swirling that Minnesota is still looking to add to their front court after the additions of Hibbert and T-Rob.  Could the Wolves be relevant in 2014?

Season Preview - Minnesota Timberwolves
« Reply #9 on: October 15, 2013, 10:20:44 AM »
18) MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

(EDITOR’S NOTE: This was written prior to the Kevin Love blockbuster trade)

Record last season: 26-56 (did not make the playoffs)
Projected Ranking: 24
Projected weekly points: 372.21
Average age: 24.07
Key Players: Roy Hibbert, Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic
Key Additions: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Dennis Schroeder, Roy Hibbert
Key Losses: Martell Webster, Kevin Love

As instructed by his agent, Kevin Love has his bags packed and he hopes to burn all his winter clothing. The only certainty in Minnesota seems to be that after an injury plagued season Kevin Love is no longer welcome.

Best Case Scenario: Ricky Rubio has a full, healthy season able to display his dazzling his arsenal of passes and keen court vision. Signing Pekovic at a little over 7 million was a bargain and hopes are high that Dennis Schroeder, after a promising summer league, will see some playing time sooner rather than later. Kentavius Caldwell-Pope is another name to keep an eye on if he is able to leapfrog some of the veteran wings on the Detroit roster.

Worst Case Scenario: The trade of Kevin Love backfires in his face and the people of Minnesota go out and in the street and burn… well maybe they’re just burning stuff because it’s so BooYah!  cold. Entering year number three Ricky Rubio is someone Minnesota needs to be no longer associated with the word potential.
