1.) Name:  Ernesto Quiroz
2.) ProFSL ID: Flash
3.) EMail Address(to send a Fantrax Invitation should you be accepted): dietcoke1954@gmail.com
4.) The available team you would prefer to manage:  New York/San Francisco Giants
5.) A compelling reason as to why you should be hired a a GM in this league.

I don't know if I have a "compelling reason", but I do know that I have been a lifelong Giants fan.  The last time the Giants won a World Series was in 1954 and that was the year I was born.  I grew up in a small town about 90 miles from San Francisco and when i was a youngster my Dad took me to my first Giants game at Candlestick Park.  It was against the Cincinnati Reds and I remember my Dad getting really "mad" because Vada Pinson made two diving catches in center field and the Giants lost.  Throughout the years I took my own kids to many Candlestick Park games--braving the cold winds and bad weather.  They are now life long Giants fans and we are all on cloud 9 right now with the Giants going to the World Series.

I just joined another league on this board called the Franchise GM league.  I'm still getting the hang of it, but I'd really like to join your league too because it is truly a Giants team.  The team I inherited in the GM league has a few Giants, but not as many as I would like.  I really would rather have a team I watch day in and day out, win or lose.  I have been in a variety of leagues before but they all seem to fizzle out because guys lose interest. I would rather play in a dynasty league with minor league control because it's more like being a real GM.

I don't know if that is enough reason to pick me, but I hope you do.

Go Giants!!

This seems like the perfect league for me.  When I was very young, I had a poster of Senator's slugger Frank Howard on my wall, only replacing it after the evil Bob Short stole the team.  Since the return of baseball to D.C., I have followed the Nationals and their farm system very closely and would be very excited about taking over the team.  Thanks for considering me.

Aside from maybe Willie McCovey, Frank Howard was the most intimidating figure to step to the plate. Many a 3rd basemen dreaded the moment.
That's Old School! Welcome to the league!

The Evil Empire is just that, I want to change the ideals of that franchise and make them one, that even the west coast fans in San Diego and Los Angeles would be proud to call their own . LOL  . Honestly I am a baseball junkie and am helping Jon start up the NL only Dynasty on here and have been doing fantasy baseball since prior to the internet leagues :) I would love to be in this league with you guys. Thanks in advance either way.

Please join me in welcoming the 2 newest GMs to Old School-
lanemyer of the Detroit Tigers and JMACisBACK of the New York Yankees
Brad (lanemyer) and I go back to my DME days so I know I can count on him to be active. Jeff (JMAC) is relatively new but he is in one of my FB leagues and is co-commish(?) of a baseball league on ProFSL.
Both are very welcome additions!
Thanks,
BHows

3. Email: jmlorber18@gmail.com
4. Team: I'll take the Fightin Phills
5. Compelling Reason:

I have been a huge baseball fan all my life. I have been doing fantasy baseball for 7 years, and I have dynasty league experience. This league seems great to me and I am very interested in joining. My favorite team is the Dodgers, but since they are unavailable, I will take the Phillies. I am active every day and always try to get on as much as I can. I can make an immediate on a team I take over with trades and FA. I love the idea of the old school names and I think it adds a spin to the league that makes it different from others.
