Given the return for Neuvirth I suppose I am selling low on Markstrom but the return makes me happy. Toronto gets Vancouver's goalie of the not to distant future (which given Miller's age and history is going to probably be a spell or two this season). The cap space is more or less even , and Marchand coming off a down year is still an upgrade as Boston's undisputed top LW.

In return I get Carlson who will likely rank somewhere in the top 10 this year and Silfverberg comes back to me. He's on a great little contract and is likely a staple on the Ducks 2nd line. I could have asked for more in terms of picks and prospects but I'm deep already in my MiLR and like I said, I think it's a clean little deal.

I confirm this deal. Actually this trade took months to complete. I really hate losing Carlson but There is no question that my Leafs are in need of a goalie. I think I'm adding .3 or so to the cap, even in dollars for sure. Marchand is a spark plug, top line LW in boston skating with Krejci. Cant wait. Kudos slackjack!

Slackjack is a busy man! I like this all around but more for Avs who get Jake signed longer and cheaper while Markstrom will need a 7million extension by end of season if Toronto wants to keep Jacob.
