Nets are doing this to gain a star in Butler, although he is aging, he will complement KD nicely. Morris also might be an older player, but he does contribute other categories other than points. The Nets do not like dealing Avdija, but the salary covered on Butler and getting Nance off the books is a plus as we do like Morris vs Nance. All in all good dealing with Heat for Butler. The Heat are on a roll today!

Miami confirms. Viewing this as a signing of an extension for Butler and then dealing to Brooklyn to allow for the 2 years of salary help from Miami.

Miami continues to revamp the roster, looking to build around Anthony Edwards and Cam Johnson, by dealing 2 more players that aren?t part of the long term plan and saving some cap space as well. I?m very high on Avdija and think Washington can take a solid step forward next year as well. Thanks and good luck @Braves155
