MI Tulowitzki, Troy, $15m (2017)
MI Phillips, Brandon, $18m (2016)

This goes against my rebuild but Tulo still has some good years ahead. I know he's never healthy but when he is he mashes. I have the money to take on Phillips salary.

Rockies continue to infuse young talent into their roster and the $32m gained in salary reduction will add to that end.

This was tough to evaluate.  I think Phillips could be worth a midlevel spec.  Tulo is worth 3 or 4.  Both are tons of $$$, 11 ppg and 33 ppg at MI should get more in return.  I understand freeing up money, but believe the return for points should be greater.

I totally agree with you Rob. IF Tulo played more than 100 games a year.

I let this sit for awhile to think about what is involved.  I think we all do salary dumps, but these two players, Tulowitzki and Phillips, are worth more than two prospects.  I understand the "injury prone" argument, but 45 points a game for two prospects is not a viable trade.  Sorry, but I can't approve.
