Trade Block
« on: May 01, 2012, 05:28:53 PM »
I'm wanting some more riders from Garmin-Barracuda on my team.

Unfortunately, I've got no room to breath on salary cap, so I think my only option is a trade.

Lets talk!

If a trade is made. Do the contracts have to be traded as well?

I give Rider A for Rider B but could I keep the contract value for Rider A when I get Rider B.  This would allow a trade that might not always be doable under the salary cap.

I paid too much for a rider but would rather pay way too much for a rider I like more.

Thoughts?

You can take over any contract if only both parties are on the same page. The rider just wants to get paid the money he was promised.

what sort of trade are you after? Im happy to take Dan Martin off you (670k) If you would take Ben Hermans off me (400k), so will save you 270k

With the signing of Allan Davis i got my squad for 2013.
I think ity's a good squad that can bring me some nice results next year.
But i'm always open for trade discussion.

So if you're interested in 1 of my riders and you got a tradeoffer send me a PM.

I offer you the one, the only, the greatest cyclist since sliced bread: Peter Sagan!
He's awesome, he's young, he's got a magnificent future, he'll win classics by the dozen.

You'll get him for three years, and he'll be fully worth the ridiculous amounts of money you'll cushion his Slovakian bank account with.

Someone? Anyone?
I guess not. It was worth a try.

And to be fair, even if one of you jumped at this opportunity, I'm not certain I'd agree to a trade after all. He's just that good - but he better not get injured... :rool:

This remains true, even though I'm pretty happy with most of the team.
If I had to part ways with any riders, it would probably be Boeckmans, Van Hummel, Bobridge or Viola - with Bobridge being the one I'd least want to get rid of.

I'll take Van Hummel and Viola if you want to clear cap room. If you are interested in any Lotto riders from your team i like Kruijswijk, Vanmarcke, Jungels, Slagter and Roche in that order.

  • Jonathan: A team that wishes to remove a player from the 40-man roster and place him in the minor league system first needs to place him on irrevocable outright waivers. The team may not pull him back if another team claims the player. Other organizations have 48 hours to make a claim.  If the organization does not specify the type of waivers, this is the default.
