Chicago management is pleased to announce several contract extensions.

32 year old Left Winger Andrew Ladd, $7.3m (2015-2019) has agreed to an extension for $2.1 Million (2018-2021). Ladd was ranked 55th and 93rd in LW scoring in 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively.

Other contract extensions signed: (rankings for 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively)
Defense - T.J. Brodie, $3.4m (2016-2019), 28 years old
Rank: 124/125 
$1.6 Million (2018-2021)

Right Wing (no longer listed as a Center) - Trevor Lewis, $1.5m (2016-2019), 31 years old
Rank: 60/84 
$1.8 Million (2018-2021)

These extensions allow us to save $6.7 Million in salary cap space.

  • Daddy: Apparently the MLB has put forth the idea of reducing the number of minor-league teams by more than a quarter (42 teams would be cut in the reported proposal). Additionally, MLB's proposal would reduce the draft to 20 rounds, reduce the number of contracted players in each organization, and alter the structure -- with some affiliates moving up or down in level.
