NBA Front Office: Invalid Transactions / Re: TJ Warren s&t MEM-TOR

Same as me, I don't care if toronto gets to win the ring every year, I'm just not seeing the value of this one. Superstars often gets traded for peanuts if they are disgruntled but we have emotions off in this league.plus we have a true statistical ranking who the better players are. Imo 2 recent top picks and 2 first. Is a start for AD.

The problem with the team I inherited Ted is that the previous manager gave all my first rounders lol thus can't offer the required multiple firsts

Im sure if you offered up KAT+1 1st+Filler szy would ignore all my PMs.

You mean turner. I might have misread KAT+ 1 1st. I dont think KAT is equal to lonzo

Rebuilding means only getting 1 prospect and 1 first rd pick for ad and curry. :winner:

That's three step back and half step forward. Without much picks in return to the best player is insane.mem even gave 1 first rd and settled for the least favorable. In the end, it will be ad 1st rd for lonzo and 1st rd.insane haul

We should be trying to replicate the realities of the NBA. NGs in the NBA are becoming common practice and TO's/POs are disappearing. Being able to stretch waive players who have non guarantees longer is worth next to nothing.

Final Year TO's and NGs = 5%
Non Final year NGs = 10%

A better fix would be to bring back win bonus, and not include non guaranteed years in the calculation. This not only fixes the TO/NG bias but also the Vets seeking short contracts bias.

I agree with win bonus, not only does NBA players get a share on the team's playoff run but I think agents in NBAFO should have an incentive like that.

Also, I would like to see an agent being fired by his client by choosing a poor contract or by advising his client to take that contract or opting out/in when the market is dry for that player. ala Monta ellis

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9466346/monta-ellis-parts-agent-jeff-fried

This was also sparked by the Cory Joseph deal.  An unproven player signing a 1 year guarantee deal over a 4 year guarantee deal banking on his growth which he has shown but very minimally during his career.  The jury is still out whether he made the right choice or not, that's when my proposal kicks in.  If in the future, he was cut by the Raptors/Knicks (I don't know who got him final xd) then the agent should be fired and cannot bid on the player for 1 contract year. If he made the right choice of sticking with 3 year contract (2 years NG) and completed that contract, the agent should have the right to retain the player for his next contract.

The problem with our agent's formula is that it leans more towards the near-term view rather than a good balance of short and long-term view.
