Franchise NHL / Re: FNHL COVID-19 Discussion
« on: March 17, 2020, 03:59:36 PM »
In the UK were still at work, but if have continous cough or high temp to self isolate for 2 weeks at home. Be advised not to go to pubs, restaurants and venues.
Just waiting a week until these are ordered to close (Insurance then covers them). UK about 2 weeks behind Spain and 4 behind Italy on what COVID-19 is doing there.
Goverment plan is to delay peak until late May early June to help minimise problem to the NHS.

All pregnant woman advised to self isolate for 3 months and people over 70 for atleast a month.

Arizona favourites to beat my Canucks due to me having no starting goalies as jackets back to full strength and Marky having his injury. Just happy to have finally made it to the playoffs.

Franchise NHL: Transactions / Vancouver / Vegas Trade
« on: February 16, 2020, 01:12:15 PM »
Vancouver does a trade with Vegas Golden Knights

Vancouver Receives: G - Casey DeSmith (SDP 2018: UNDRAFTED - 50 Games)

Vegas Receives: G - Daniil Tarasov (2017: 3/86 - 0 Games)
D - Martin Fehervary (2018: 2/46 - 6 Games)
2020 3rd Round Pick

Vancouver does this trade to acquire DeSmith who only lost the backup job this year due primary to Jarry being 1m cheaper in cap. Send that of Tarasov who atleast 3 years away from the NHL and has 3 young goalies infront of him in the CBJ depth chart, lose Fehervary who broke into the capitals lineup but primary a shutdown D and 3rd round pick.
With DeSmith can place him in the minors so not taking up a roster place.

Thanks to ALL4U2NV for the easy trade talks.

Franchise NHL / Re: FNHL Playoff Race: 3 WKS LEFT!
« on: February 10, 2020, 08:11:18 PM »
Jonathan, part of the reason why you keep Washington over Montreal to build the team your way, was the same reason why i took over Vancouver rather than a few others that were on the market at that time.

The challenge of build your team and improving, while going up against knowlegable GM's.
Four years afterwards, total dismantling that team, and going through different trade highs and lows,  (Matthews Trade - Forsberg  :disco:, Bennett flipping Calgary  >:(, Stecher ok).

Now just got to find away to close the gap on your Edmonton, which be hard and another 3 year plan.
Plus seeing if Burke and Ian can make Pigs year just a bit better by dumping Flyers out of the playoffs and making PPG  :soapbox:.

Franchise NHL / Re: DISCUSSION: FNHL TRADE DEADLINE BEFORE OR AFTER NHL's
« on: February 08, 2020, 02:34:14 PM »
Like it before the trade deadline, as makes trades more interesting in that they could go either way, with just one player getting moved to another team and getting more TOI, could easily push it in favour of one team.

Just look at JT Miller last year 3rd line on Tampa and low PP time if at all and 71st LW on fantrax, gets traded to Vancouver in the summer and placed on the Lotto Line (Petey, Brock and JT) and given 1PP time and now 10th LW.

Dynasty NHL: Completed Transactions / Vegas / Vancouver Trade
« on: February 05, 2020, 09:10:34 PM »
Vegas makes the following trade with Vancouver

LW David Perron, $6.8m (2019-2020) [$5m paid for]

for

D Colin Miller, $2.7m (2022-2023)
X- 2020 2nd Round Draft Pick, Vancouver, $m this year
X- 2020 3rd Round Draft Pick, Colorado, $m this year

Vegas does this as in full rebuild mode, and Perron being 32 years at the start of next season, his contract extension is already close to 5m. Vegas has no plans on resigning him at that rate for 5 years.

Dallas confirm the trade,

Palat is having a good year in Tampa, but believe Barbashev has potential to put up similar numbers next year as Palat is this year, plus Barbashev is egilable as a C, LW, RW and 4 years younger, while Palat just LW.
Issac is a shut down D but had good pts numbers in the Mooseheads last year.

    March 20, 2020, 11:27:26 AM
  • Vik: Could be moot point either way depending what happens. I feel if they do resume most likely would pretty much go right into real life playoffs
    March 20, 2020, 11:28:09 AM
  • Brent: Should just be no BoD playoffs since we didn't get a full period.
    March 20, 2020, 05:32:18 PM
