Franchise GM: Completed Trades / Re: Cubs - Rays Trade« on: January 02, 2017, 04:02:35 PM »
Rays accept this trade. My first order was to add arms and this trade helps me do that. Strasburg is a great pitcher and Reid Foley is a solid organizational depth piece arm. Tulowitzki is my favorite player so I definitely wanted to add him despite expiring deal. Beltran allows me to continue to compete this season.
Losing Belt stings, but I had to move a big piece. Toles is super cheap and controllable but it helped get deal done. Thanks for the continued negotiations on this deal. Kevin-TB 2053
Franchise GM: Completed Trades / Re: Tampa/St. Louis deal« on: January 01, 2017, 08:46:05 PM »
Tampa Bay approves. Miller and Souza are very cheap controllable players for the near future. Strengthening my rotation and adding depth players in Barnhart and Peterson make this a solid deal for Tampa. Barnhart will help fill void by Martin trade and Peterson adds the cheap depth option a poor team needs.
Thanks for continued dialogue RyanJames! 2054

Welcome Geoff! Sad day that I didn't get the opportunity to use Kershaw in Armchair. Maybe we can swing another deal in here. Glad to see you joined. I'm Tampa now instead of TOR.

Tampa Bay accepts the trade. Russell Martin is a future free agent that is older so I want to keep a nice young influx of talent. Wentz was my 1st round pick (in Armchair) so I feel good about him. Bedrosian is a future closer and Giles is cheap controllable talent who got more comfortable in Houston as the year wore on.
The trade cannot technically be pushed until January 15th because of Wentz draft status, but I wanted to lock it in. Thanks to Philly for smooth negotiation. 2059

Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Completed Transactions / Re: Trade: Astros / Giants« on: December 23, 2016, 08:48:35 AM »You seem to have some rage issues. Mallex is garbage. I've watched him too many times and all he contributes is speed. Jankowski had a super over achieving year. He does not have a good pedigree at all. Holt is a utility infielder. Tapia, I said he was good although he isn't a world beater. Cedrola isn't even top ten in his system and still hasn't gotten out of rookie ball. Bradley is a gold Glover who finally found his swing at the major league level. Ramirez helped carry Cleveland all year. My system has nothing to do with this trade. I have a few top 100 along with guys on the fast track. I probably have 40-45 top 30s which is better than most. God forbid if someone says your trade is trash. |
