Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: Important league stuff
« on: August 10, 2020, 12:25:38 PM »
Hey guys, still around but it would be great if you and Anthony would be willing to take over the duties of the league now. If you need anything let me know and I can try help. Cliff changed some formatting of things so that is something if you need some help with I can try to find the time.

I'm still around as the Edmonton GM! I've given you guys access to fantrax as well!

Backyard NHL: Archives / Backyard Draft & Lottery
« on: June 01, 2020, 01:28:30 PM »
Hey guys, so with the abrupt ending to our season I'll have to be creative with the draft and draft lottery this year as there were no playoffs for placements and who knows where to draw the line on who is eligible to win the first overall pick. I'll come up with some guidelines for this soon and post them up! I have decided, as the stoppage happened on March 12th, that week 21 was considered the end of our season and the first round of playoffs will not be considered as that week did not go to completion.

Just for some info, here would have been the 12 playoff teams as of the stoppage. Well now after posting this I see thecliff changed the playoff structure?? Not sure why so I will have to check on what is what there.

Pacific
1st - Edmonton
2nd - Vancouver
3rd - Vegas

Central
1st - St. Louis
2nd - Colorado
3rd - Chicago

Metro
1st - Washington
2nd - New York
3rd - Philadelphia

Atlantic
1st - Montreal
2nd - Toronto
3rd - Detroit

Rankings of remaining teams
13th - Boston
14th - Calgary
15th - Dallas
16th - Buffalo
17th - Minnesota
18th - Carolina
19th - Pittsburgh
20th - Anaheim

Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: Well boys...

Well the regular season has come to an end and with that so has the Backyard season and now I can officially crown SlackJack and his St. Louis Blues as the Backyard Champ again.

Sometimes they say it doesn't matter until the playoffs but in this case, the regular season was very important!

Congrats Slack!

There are also a few players I couldn't find teams for that were in the ECHL and some that should be on AHL teams.

Backyard NHL: Archives / Re: UPDATED LEAGUE STANDINGS
« on: February 05, 2020, 02:49:50 PM »
No one took advantage of extension period and the league is back to FA.
Do you think we want to consider that was due to the amount of transactions that needed to done? Just food for thought, as I am just an opinion and a shoulder to lean on (aka the old grandfather of BNHL haha)

Hey cliff, good luck taking over and thanks for taking over.

Just wondering about the updated deadlines, did the extension period already happen or was it missed due to no commissioner being here to process or inform? If so we may want to change that deadline? If not then I just missed it completely and that is my bad.
