If not for minimum standards no-one would ever sign the best players to longterm deals.

OK - Ill  take him  for 2 years.

Brewer would have to be 2 or 3 years.  Let me know what you want there.

All else looks good!

Sorry to bother but....My reading of the extension rule is that there are max limits to the duration of the contract. The rule does not speak of 'minimum' year requirements/limits. The purpose of the rule - I believe - is to prevent teams from signing players to a career contract with no obligation to resign.

Extension rule states:

Contract Limits
Except for any contract inherited in 2011, all contracts must be no longer than five years. Also, for a given salary, all contracts have term limits (max years contract can be per the yearly salary) as provided below.

Salary - Max Years
$5m+ - 5 years (the overall limit)
$3.5 to $4.9m - 4 years
$2 to $3.4m - 3 years
$0 to $1.9m - 2 years

C Daniel Winnik, $0m (2013-2014)    No resign
C Kyle Brodziak, $0m (2013-2014)  122/137 = $1.7  at 2 yrs – 15/16
C Vladimir Sobotka, $0m (2013-2014)  76/99 = $3.3 at 3 yrs – 16/17
LW Guillaume Latendresse, $0.9m (2014-2015)   No resign

RW J.T. Brown, $0m (2013-2014)   NA/117  = $.9 at 2 yrs – 15/16
RW Brett Connolly, $0m (P-Ext) 16 total games played –move to prospects
RW Nik Antropov, $0m (2013-2014)    No resign

D Adam McQuaid, $0m (2013-2014)   173/189 = $.9 at 2 yrs – 15/16
D Eric Brewer, $0m (2013-2014)   67/83  = $2.5 at 1 yr - 2015
D Mark Barberio, $0m (2013-2014)      NA/161 = $1 m at 2 yrs – 15/16

Move Martin Jones up to main roster
Hope I got these rights.

Ian hasn't had much luck in the playoffs here over the last two years but none of that matters now as he lifts the Stanley Cup in Detroit. This is a well deserved title and he won it from the powerhouse Blues which makes it even sweeter. Congrats man!!!!

Great season everyone I had a blast this year. Now I have a TON of work to do to get us ready for 14/15 so please bear with me over the next week or two. Transactions for 13/14 are officially closed now so if you didn't get your buyouts in before now you are sh!t out of luck.  While I'm getting us ready for next season please feel free to start on your extensions.  Also trading is officially open again so get on with the deals. Remember you can trade expiring contracts without extending them. The extension period starts now and lasts until after the NHL entry draft is complete. So you have plenty of time to make your roster decisions for next season.

Part of the work I have to do to roll us over is audit prospect contacts. If you have any players on n/a contacts that hit 40gp please drop me a line and let me know. It makes my job easier.

Thanks everyone for making this league great and good luck next year.

And again... CONGRATS RED WINGS!!!

Thanks for running a great league.
